Maybe that was the intent, but you better save up a LOT. I stopped buying omniforges and saved up 45 or so relics before the ally was maxed and, even with the cool down, blew through them all...even with additional LM successes along the way. Now it's a horribly slow slog to be able to use the ability. Too bad the ranking wasn't switched to something other than relics....

Answer is no, you can only scrap it for ctp

Just found that^ to not be correct.
Player from my legion did task three today and now has the Ally and the Drone both equipped.

Yes you can have both, however i contacted support a while ago about it and it's meant to be getting fixed as they said it was an error.

There's a check, as with other legion mission modules, to see if the module already exists on your ship. Turns out there's no check for the Ally. Go Figure. :)

looks like this was never fixed.

if you look at Slacker's ship via the kills leaderboard, you can clearly see:

"Darmos Drone Ascendant x3,"

There is also a Darmos Drone Ascendant x4, if you keep looking.
