Is it worth selling to other players while I am at a low level or should I hang on to it?

What is it really worth?

Can someone steal it from me if they 'raid' my ship?

Hang on to it for now, there are missions that require it, and it doesn't take up much space compared to other resources. Although some of the higher levels were complaining recently that they had huge excesses and nothing to do with it, but Dan hinted in another thread that he would add more missions soon.

Not sure if it can be raided.
