With the data gathered from the Shadow-barb links, it is revealed that Lutuma ships are responsible for the drilling activity in the surrounding sectors. With no answers to hails, leaders prepare to engage with the Lutuma ships directly for answers.

Chapter 3: The Lutuma Report

The Shadow-barb Links have been relaying data on several tagged ships. While we know the general location of their ships and have been monitoring their activities, there is still much to discern. We need to consider plans for engagement.

In my experience, the lutuma extractor npc's take their time coming. During the first 5-10 minutes you'll get maybe 1. After that first 10 minutes they start coming a lot faster.

Do you kill them?

You obviously don't have to if you don't want to. I tend to only kill if my BT is full up. And even then just the most recently arrived ones, while allowing the older ones to time out. They've only got an hour timer.

I filled an 8 slot BT in less than 15 minutes, so I'd say, as usual, it depends on your luck

Here's a question for you all... have you been having any trouble getting any extra cells?

I had every intention of powering through this mission using Kriell to get it done in 6 days instead of 11. That said, I was getting plenty of Extractors until, unbeknownst to me, I hit the 20 mark. I spent another 15 minutes npc'ing without getting a single one of them... Now I know this could just be my bad luck... But I'm wondering if anyone has been able to get more than 20 of the lutuma cells.

Edited because another 5 minutes of npc'ing netted me one more of the Extractors. I'm not sure why there was such a long dry spell, but at the very least you can start stocking up on the cells.

not had any issue, finished the initial module, have Lutuma Memory Cell (Uses Left: 35).

I wouldn't go about attempting to upgrade the mod right now, it makes the game 100% unplayable.

Spawns the NPC's when you are not doing the mission
be a good idea to refrain from reading mission or clicking on the biweekly to see what's it about if you don't plan on doing it
clogs up BT
