Yes. The 'effect' which grants you the ability evidently has a cooldown period like the previous missions, although no effect (or timer) is actually visible on your ship. The ability does reappear when you revisit the mission.

maybe cause this is a storage world (Note the Stealth Screen) so production isnt an issue while cloak is. + I have so many dark badges I may as well upgrade the QA?

No offense, but I think they have a fair point asking the question.
I'm not entirely sure rank alone means people know more or less than others... I see far too many planets that disprove that idea.

While I can understand the upgraded accelerator, the fact it is a VM storage planet makes putting a Mining 3, Arti 1 Cloak 200 arti (which should have waited for the bonus anyway and which you can only get 10 of) on it seem a little strange for a @ lev 1611.

Very true. The bonus isn't a big deal for me, I'll use it for my rifts and dysons when the times right, but for now needed a few cloak artis to push the storage planets cloak past 30k and at the same time thought I would answer the question from page 1. Still will have 9 to play with

Revisit the mission, like the rest of the chain it expires every 20 hours, and like every other mission (it seems) it doesn't show as an effect on your ship. Opening the mission should bring it back though.

there might be a timer, but it is more than 20 hours. also might need to clarify whether it is the mission or the mission briefing. my guess is that it is the mission briefing every 48 hours.

also, i have now acquired all the readings that i need to complete the mission with a few souvenir spares:

i would have started installing the sub-tachyonic axis today as well, but someone tagged one of my irradiateds after i neglected to temporal.flux it as soon as the 1.week timer lapsed a few hours earlier.

The trigger is Mission Briefing. No need to replay the whole dialogue. The buff is 40 hours.

There was suspicion that using this ability on your own irradiated planets counted as an offensive action. In case anyone was wondering, I can confirm that it does not.
