So it says on the wiki:

Quote:
Once discovered for the first time through the mission, Aphotic planets can then be discovered by players through normal scanning.

However, this can't be true. I've scanned at least 5 Aphotic planets, and I've only just started the Silthion chain today.

Is this a fluke/bug, or is the wiki wrong?

I belive that as soon as you own or have on your log (not just alerted) a aphotic planet that triggers them being added to your pool

no, the wiki is not wrong, you just misunderstood.

i scanned and conquered an Aphotic planet long before i ever started the Silthion chain myself. to clarify, i have re.worded the wiki passage to read:

"Once an Aphotic planet is found by a player in the Vorigar Expanse, that planet is added to the pool of available planets and can then be found by other players through normal scanning."

i also added a similar note to the Ecumenopolis listing.

Yep, seems I've misunderstood. Thanks for the clarification.
