I'll put my leg out and say the 40 hour timer needs to stay in place, as it means you need to be sensible when deciding to use it.

Do you use it for the 3% attack boost on tuesday/friday or save it for a possible 3%(i'll assume) scan boost on wednesday/saturday.

This way you need to weigh up whether you actually need to use the ability that day or not.


In short, the timer doesn't need reducing, it's an ace ability for just energy cost, people just need to be sensible with when they use it.

I like everything about this mod apart from the 40 hour timer.

8800 CTP and 88k EM for an ability I can only use every 40 hours...

Due to the randomness of the ability the timer shouldn't be 40 hours.

Gets a defense buff... Awesome 'kappa'

I'm glad I'm using my Raix ability on The Elios Migration. The ability is nice but a 1:1 artie is nicer.

* would be quite easy if done within 2-4 months per mission, not 1 week ;)

Damn, that's disappointing. Dan really needs to come up with another repeatable %cloak item. Was hoping the Darmos drone or seal would have that.

max top scan is now up to 35086. i still have some cloak buffer space to cover that on my production planets.

max repeatable is now up to 27846. all my storage planets have more than that.

honestly i dont even count autonomous processor anymore.
hasnt been a scan buff in over 3 years i think.

Again, you're sort of missing the point; I do understand why though.

Anytime a scan buff is added, all planets are affected by it. Cloak buffs don't work the same and you have to deal with each and every planet you own. That would be okay if there were more cloak artifacts coming out to manage this but there really aren't. If you're lucky, there will be a chain where you can get 10 or 15 of them.

Lets add a new recipe to the CT-Lab that will upgrade polycrons with like 4% cloak. That would help with many an issue.

no, i don't miss your point, i just disagree. just as there are damage cap consequences to adding decks, maximizing production at the expense of "just enough" cloak on your premium planets has (and should have) consequences.

if you don't have enough cloak artis for your premium planets then you will have to prioritize and decide which is worth more - protection or production. i have always erred on the side of protection. my highest cloaked planet is 53.6k on my rift, which of course, doesn't need it. the highest for non.invincibles is 39.2k on a 22x colossal sentient ... i get 2305.8 arti per hour from that. so i may have had to accept a few hundred less arti per hour ... but i have peace of mind and don't have to downgrade the production each time a new scan buff shows up.

as for quantities of cloak artis, there are plenty of cloak artis that are misplaced on suboptimal planets. i peeled off a cross.signal restrainer and a chron shifter just this week.

You shouldn't worry about cloaking more than max possible scan. 25k cloak is a good target number. It's not very likely you will lose a planet with more than 25k cloak.

Lucky you. I've haven't seen a %cloak building on a planet in my last 1000 planets scanned.

i know scan goes way over this, but i cloak a lot of junk at 20-22k and to date in almost 5 years none have been scanned.....could they anytime, sure...but just saying. And i agree with ODragon, at some point there should be an end to silly scan ability....just as there is a damage cap, which is a firm cap, there should be a scan cap or at least some decent way to increase cloak whole sale. I used to run across a ton of badly placed % cloak as well, but now wiht double the planets i'm lucky to scan better than a 2x arti on a 600 planet scan run. That said maybe we don;t need more cloak, right? (there is some sarcarm in this message, ill let the reader decide where)
