I would lol so hard if after you finished Corrupted Influence (the 26 comps), if the debuff will become perm as u technically cannot complete that mission anymore :p :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

so, not only blocking SSBs from accessing this content for thousands of ranks, but actively penalizing them for opening up the mission. guess i will be sending Dan a ticket, since the only reason i used the medal drop was to update the wiki.

and the effect of the 10% attack debuff negates the last 2.5 months of progress .. over 80 ranks. so yeah, a noticeable impact.

personally, i'm just hoping that Dan copied the settings from the last Ravyn mission and didn't intend to do this ;)

dang, I knew theire was something evil about that eye.....
but this will realy hurt all SSB builds that open up that mission.

so far I don't see anything that realy hurt huge ships, but then might come in the next mission :/

if any who was on the facebook global chat remembers dan did say the eye will be helpful in some ways but will hurt in others this is 1 example expect more stuff to hurt i love this punishment towards ssbs who refuse to add decks.

but as darkmar posted who says the next mission will be a good 1 for us bigger ships heck all we could know is it may hurt if you do not have between 4k to 5k decks you lose 10% srti per hour for 20 hours til mission completed or some sort of evil type thing that will help those ssbs who had added some decks to complete the mission.


it been mentioned many times that the ssb damage cap has ruined the game in many pvp aspects for us higher rank ships i see this is a way of dan trying to level out the playing field with out playing with the damage cap still allowing those players to make the choice to stay as is or move on up in the game

Congratulations to all those with over 4000 decks, a small bone has been tossed in your direction, which will really not affect SSBs and MSBs in any meaningful way.

At the moment, the shiny bauble rewards for having 4000 decks do not even come close to making it worthwhile to increase your damage cap by any significant amount.
As it currently stands, chances are that people inclined to stay lean and mean are going to remain lean and mean, because maths.

Many, like me in my nice little MSB, will not care in the slightest, for exactly the same reason I don't care if I never get the medal for 4400 decks.

For those who *still* haven't caught on, even after 5 or 6 years, if your ship is 3 times the size of someone else, you basically need 3 times the Arti Production to really make progress against them in terms of relative ship PvP strength.

So anyone who realizes that the damage cap modifier is obviously the single most important aspect of damage taken simply won't be adding large numbers of decks just to open up the current rewards until those rewards can be justified through a corresponding (and dramatic) increase in AP.

In my case, I won't be pursuing orbisbarriers (for example) until every single one of my planets that are at least 20x or above (probably 15x as well by that time) have 2 hyperbarriers already in place and I have the required 60 silvers per planet to do them all at once. Corruption I will happily store in a similar fashion with the reward unopened in cargo as I watch and wait and see what the market brings down the track.

So, in short, at the moment all this stuff is just to make big ships feel a bit better about their big damage caps.

By all means, congratulate yourselves on being able to do it but thinking it will do anything to SSBs or MSBs is simply wishful thinking... there just aren't 4000 decks worth of worthwhile modules at this stage and the Arti Production increases available are not even close yet to offsetting the decks.

In terms of the debuff, I don't think you should even be able to open the reward from cargo unless you meet the 4000 deck requirements.
In my opinion, it is unfair to players that they need to have read the forum or wiki before discovering... for the first time ever... that the usual "reward" for achieving a medal is in fact a permanent debuff that operates every day from upkeep and lasts 20 out of the 24 hours in each day.

As all forum readers know, there are many players who never read either the wiki or the forum, so at the very least some sort of warning should be in place for those unfortunate players who are unaware.

interesting but not troublesome glitch... im doing the mission twice a day,...today i got message the eye was staring back at me.....no penalty to attack--but obviously some kind of oversight.

What does this mean ? I had this two days ago and it gave me double Prosperity...but RP on two AP planets so pointless.

Yesterday I forgot to do the daily and I did not get this message.

Today I had done my mission, had nothing to do with eye and gotr this at upkeep time...

Why is this popping up and not staying on my News Feed ?

while i'm glad that the -10% attack debuff won't happen to me again for awhile, i did notice that an uptick in the number of events linked to the upkeep timer (3 of 6 days). dunno if any other non.governors saw the same thing,, but that might be a reason for those already with sufficiently high attack to cap most bases (i fell below cap on a few of recent bases due to the debuff) to consider using the arti even if they don't have 4k decks.
