50/50 id guess, but yeah i would not be surprised...i guess at least im not burning resources to use a non working ability,, just losing out time using something i worked to get faster than others... c'est la vie

As an ability, not great, but isn't the real reward the mission chains (for now, 60 potential 2:1 arti structures) it opens up?

for what it cost for real money not worth it at all the ability could of been something more worthy granting planet cloak to planet up to 5k or even 7k by say 100 points or something per use would of been a better ability then granting something i do not need to use

Again, I don't think the main reward is the ability. A potential 2:1 arti structure is the reward.

If the issue is "real money," I've extracted enough Bane Generators over the years to know lots of people are willing pay for 3:2 arti structure, and if you bought Ravyn, you probably bought a couple of those a few months ago -- and while Biologist is an insanely bad profession, you can get free race changes each year (for Biologist change), if that's an issue.

Furthermore, the mission chain isn't even over!

I totally get the complaining about the Ravyn not being up and ready before people ranked her to 100, but whining about this seems really whiny.

Of course, I have no shortage of blue badges and enjoy hacking, so there is that...

i'm betting there are some missions in the pipeline that will require 10k cloak to unlock ;)

also .. i get the feeling that Dan likes crit.hacks for some reason ...

As respectfully as possible, I would like to request that if Biologist is to continue to be required to get full bonuses for planet structures that some thought be given to actually making the profession work the way it is supposed to.

As it is, the only reason to choose it is for structure bonuses, which in terms of making it more relevant is not really ideal to my way of thinking.
The supposed Biologist bonus is not exactly great anyway, but when it doesn't actually work even to the limited extent it is meant to, then that it is pretty ordinary.
