Genosynth ships have specialized hull-adaptive layers that are difficult to penetrate. Each ship carriers a unique geno-synthetic sequence, though with some effort, the pattern can be detected and used against it.

Geno-Synthetic Regeneration - Chance that the Genosynth's hull will repair to full unless your ship is under the effects of a "GenoMarker Signature"

On actions tab: Active GenoScan (100 energy): Enables your ship to discover a GenoMarker when scanning for planets. A GenoMarker will prevent the Stryll Ship from repairing during your attacks

Is the biomarker an effect you get when you find it, or an arti? (As in, can you collect a dozen or so off a scan blitz the first time you see one to carry you through the next few?)

It would also be good to confirm if, maybe, they can only be found by people with ravyns chain completed because these sound a lot like what the missions could have been talking about.

Issues we had: Active GenoScan has a one hour shared timer. So basically, person one uses it as soon as they get the NPC, scans some planets, waits for timer to reset so person 2 can get it and scan some planet. With only a 3 hour timer, it is very hard to coordinate.

What we ended up doing: I used the ability, scanned a planet, shared the NPC, two people tapped, I soloed it so no repairs.

Oh yeah, neither the Active GeoScan or after having found a GenoMarker, nothing shows up on your Effects tab. No idea how long that ability is good for (IE, if a second one showed up, would I have to scan again?)

Would like to know, once someone uses the rewards, if they stack with each other or with the Stryll Seeker. I would guess not but it'll be a big boost to max scan if so.

although i am happy would be crazy scan for those who still has stryll seekers which would mean more cloak needed on planets which is hard to cloak what we got already lol

seems theirs probably an upgraded eye in theres somewhere too.
I dont get the logic of having two scan buff drops where one is clearly superior to the other. better to have the weaker drop switched out for a structure or an structure uprgade or something. Not a lot of styrll structures out there and would be interesting to see more.

But, geesh these are going to be a pain to deal with. Nice to have a new elites (hopefully we get some more too) and totaly unexpected what with the ct lab seeming to be the next update :P good on dan!

The invisible GenoMarker is NPC specific (or lasts less than 30 minutes) as I tried hitting one without getting another GenoMarker and it repaired.

It was vastly easier to make the npc a no bump, the owner gets an autolock. Then 2 more join, one of the three needs to scan, Then one person pushes the genoscan, finds the marker and kills it by him or herself.

member at CRA got one without having the oruas eye ally so looks like it's not restricted.

also someone got this drop:

the GenoLocator is an advancement of the Stryll Locator Eye.
the GenoSeekers are just advanced versions of the Stryll Seeker for those after rank 1200 (even scraps for the same amount lol). the stryll seeker is 10% .. so the other ones are 11% and 12%.

now .. if they stack with the stryll seeker .... and with each other ??? wowzers !

Love the fact we have a new NPC!
Don't really love the overly complicated mechanics - especially while doing Gartith task 1 :)
Am a little disappointed that the Eye "upgrade" has a worse scan:deck ratio than the inferior item it replaces.

just took out 2 of the buggers in 13 minutes. the GenoSynth signature prevents repairs by any Stryll GenoSynth. signature duration is 15 minutes. now to ice up my wrist ...
