for NPC hunting, it useless as most NPC wont even be able to break you shileds

if you are attacking, it's still useless as 80%+ of the dammage you take will proberly be from T-Plasma Gemini Cannon, and they scale the dammage to your total hull + shield...
exeption is attacking a base with high attack as bases doesnt have Gemini cannons, but then again does it realy matter how many Repair Nanodrones killing a base will end up costing you

where or not it will help you defend your ship, depends on where or not the buf can simply be removed with 1 Containment Missile (Uses Left: 6010)
but didnt test that while I had it active

unless like me, you think it's fun to replace 1 Perfect Syncopated Plating with 2 Exterior Maintenance Droid, just becourse you can.
and the only reason I even bothered to activade the boost, was to see if I would get the same bug as PurFikshun.

Yeah, upon further consideration, I agree it's still not worth making/installing unless you already have way more decks than you need and it can replace a truly dreadful module (e.g. Mylarai Plasma Lances). Otherwise, I can think of no major practical advantage it confers unless you are an unemployed insomniac who is on GL at least once every 4 hours.

Furthermore, if you are struggling to avoid being shredded by bases, NPCs, other players, etc., it's probably better to add those 600 brackets to your ship directly until you've truly sorted your ship and production issues out. You'll get way moar hull out of it, with no upkeep or additional damage cap.

maybe ...dream a little dream...its a voltron piece...but doubtful...

could be a vanity item also..."how big could i get with laz fixer, ust buff, nanite capsule...etc.etc.."

much like my obsession with cloak...hit 44.5k once ..now have a lot more base and assume 50k is possible if key and covert ally coordinate....

hoping next item unlocked is a planetary or some perm buff/buff building item...:)

I am fairly sure the buff cannot simply be removed with a Containment Missile. Otherwise it would be one of the worst items I have seen in ANY game lol

For some reason, the Exterior Maintenance Droid buff continues not to work on my ship. I've bought and installed a second Droid within the last 30 minutes and it has the same problem as the first. I've gotten no response to my tickets, so I'm wondering if there's some hidden restriction (like maybe it doesn't work for certain races or something). For anyone who has it, please try the buff. Whatever happens, let me know along with your IGN and race. Maybe, I can throw random guessing at the issue?

as I said, I didnt test it...

the Scruuge Megacharged Hypernode ability specifikily states
Amplifies your hull by 16%. This effect is immune to removal from other artifacts. Lasts 2 hours.


but you dont see that part on the Exterior Maintenance Droid ability
Increases hull by 2% for each 1000 decks (unbuffed - rounded up) up to a max of 20%.

The Exterior Maintenance Droid now appears to be working on my ship -- but the cool down has changed to 20 hours. At least now I feel it was worth the bracket investment!!

In regards to my suggestion about having a CT Lab item that upgrades it by adding an hour for each use (up to 10) I got this from support:

yes, now it's a 20 hours cooldown on the ability

and

Droid Maintenance : Hull +16% (9 hours, 58 mins left)


but still size 20, hull 800 - atleast on the one I have installed

8 hours of effect is somewhat useful....could super buff while you sleep..make it less tidy for predators...otherwise still junk

If you get 3, you could go buffed 24/7 other than having to log on to do it.

can someone who has this confirm the wikis statement that it costs 250 energy to use the ability on the mod? I wont pick it up for a while if thats the case (or at least only pick one up rather than 2)

all it says on the ability is

but
before 12519 / 55983 energy
after 12274 / 55983 energy

so looks like a 250 energy hidden activation cost, as far as I can tell.
