Velox Thruster [ Special Module - Size:30, Defense:250, Defense Bonus:+5% ] Installs a Velox Thruster on your ship. Limit 3 per ship. so i fit one and get a 5% bonus to my defence Q1 does this continue to gain 5% on defense i accrue from that point. q2 if i fit a second will i gain another 5% or is it just the first one that gives 5% |

It's a 5% bonus on your defense at any given time as long as the module is installed. If you remove the module then the bonus goes away. It's the same as a grid console, except that you don't have to manually activate it; it's always on as long as you equip the actual module. You can install more than one at a time and they will stack (+15% instead of +5% if you have 3 of them.) |

And the second and third will give % bonuses based on the new value of the previous. So let's say for example sake that the mod didn't give a base amount of defense (the 300 + the 5% bonus), but rather the 5% bonus only, if you have an overall 1k defense and install one, you then have a NEW total of 1050 defense. If you install a second one, that will take the % bonus off of 1050, not 1000 so you would then have a NEW total of 1102.5 or 1103 since it would round If you install a third mod, that will take the % bonus off of 1103, and you would then have a NEW total of 1158. So because the % totals are taken from the NEW totals of prior bonuses, the overall combined bonus is something like 15.8%. If the defense % buffs were totaled together and taken off the original total, 1000, you'd then have 1150 being that 150 is 15% of 1,000. |

k thanks guys my memory doesn't work as it should so ill note it down i'm mighty close to rank 100 i have 12's for planet production and researched my way into the lab i'm ploughing through the weapons now any advice after this i should just have the reds to fit the mk3 doms and 3 proteins from the yellows gathered |
