First day was slow, but I've found 8-10 each of the last 2 days. Still no Spices though.

I found one after 469 NPCs. Going on 1200 NPCs since then without finding another. Will try again on Monday with a concerted effort, too busy over the weekend to spend time NPCing.

Tha'ts how it goes...over time it'll even out. I'm currently at 469 for one and 1260 for the second; 1729 NPCs for 2 Chuhn so 864.5 NPCs per Chuhn.

I expect a few solid NPCing sessions will get that closer to the 350-400 NPCs per that the actual spawn rate is likely at.

is spice enhancement still consuming the spice? If so someone should send a bug report given from the text

'boosts the scrap value of itself and all your same value spices by 10%'

if its consumed upon use, the itself wouldn't be there since the spice doesn't exist after ehance is pressed.

So, about that Spice medal...

Okay, contrary to the description, pressing Enhance on a single item simply makes it disappear.
Also, pressing enhance on a single Spice when you have a more enhanced one in cargo also makes the single Spice disappear.
So, You must have more than one Spice, and it seems you must press Enhance on the more enhanced one. I hate my curiosity sometimes...

So, I am *assuming* the ideal path involves getting 4 spices prior to pressing enhance for the first time, which *might* allow the medal to be achieved with 13 Spices.

If correct, that makes your chances of gaining something toward the medal on each NPC kinda poor, to understate the situation a fair bit.

If we *assume* (perhaps generously, who knows?) a 1:400 spawn for Merchants, and *assume* (very much counter to my results so far) a 1 in 9 chance of Spice and needing (maybe?) 13 spices, it amounts to a 1:46800 chance of getting something towards that medal for every NPC that spawns during the seasonal.

Guess I won't be holding my breath in anticipation :)

Has anyone seen progress in the Spice must Flow medal? If you can get 1 point by enhancing 1 spice 10%, you'd only need 4 for the medal. Otherwise you'd need 33 which seems kinda crazy.

The way I see it you need 13 spice before you enhance any of them.
When you enhance the first one it will increase the 2nd through 13th by 10%.
When you enhance the second one it will increase the 3rd through 13th to 20%.
etc. up to the 10th one which will increase the 11th through 13th to 100%.

Anyone else think this is correct?

Thats what I did. I gained 30 ranks to find 2 spices. This is too much work for only 10 medal points. I'm done. I don't think anyone's getting that medal this year tbh.

Oh, I'll be getting it, but I'm done after this event. It has burnt me out like no other. I'll be crawling back into my 31k-cloak hole until something new and interesting comes along (i.e. a new mission chain).

From all that has been said, yes, 13 appears to be the magic number for the medal. And while I expect to be collecting spice in 2018 and 2019 to have a chance at the medal myself, I think it is likely that a few people will get it this year. I know one person in my legion has 6 Spice already, and there's still 2 weeks left in the event.

It seems that only the 7 year plus players are getting new content. Massively overpowered content.

i enhanced for the medal. but it disappeared from cargo, so don't count on getting the scrap value.

oh, and i got a 2d spice after that ... so in cargo for next year.

those were good for 34,252 ctp, or 45.29% of my tally this year ... so this seasonal ctp scrap tally of 75,617 will likely be the highest i will ever get. while i will be able to cover the 30k for my Prismatic Star Consortium next week .. and another 50k for the Prismatic Federation 6 months down the road .. the 80k for the Prismatic Star Federation will likely be out of my reach, barring some major change in the post-rank 2k NPC pool.

since i am starting to maintain a healthy supply of mylarai build extractors thanks to the last few seasonal NPC blitzes .. i may start targeting certain higher ctp scrap structures for extraction to cover for some of the rank 2k losses between now and next year's chuhn seasonal. i have a list of 5 non.arti producers that i will focus on in particular, though i am wary of going too extraction crazy and depleting my MBE stockpile. we'll see how it goes ...

Assuming you aren't merchant, don't forget to subtract the 5,320 CTP to get all those drops...
