OK, I am going to ask what sounds like a stupid question.

When, exactly, do these things work? They don't seem to work in PvP. Do they only work when I am being attacked?

Using the 3.0 version, I see no change in my defense.

Before: Defense: 314560
After: 314560

If it were only when you were being attacked, it should read defense adaptation, so it's likely that the ability is bugged.

In fact, uninstalling my Cerulean Displacement Drive (which is Playeredfense: +4%) seems to only remove its Defense value, so it seems as if effects that provide "Playerdefense" are not working as intended.

Are you sure? Isn't that what the Defense_adaptation modifier is for?

Are you talking about the defense stat during PvP or the stat on the ship tab? Modifiers such as Playerdefense won't affect the stat on the ship tab, because they're not universal across all forms of combat.

Otherwise, I'd say it's a bug - as Playerdefense should apply to all incoming and outgoing PvP.

I tested it. Definitely does not affect PvP when I am the aggressor.
