 Feedback on Planet Production

Been playing 3.5 months now
level 8 structures (researching stellar converter atm 33%)

2903 research/hour
2105 artifacts/hour
1115 mining/hour

35 planets . each planet has average 175 units/hour

Anyone else willing to share there planet statistics?
(preferably high rankers)

how did you get your production average so high? do you not defend at all or do you have all megarich or better planets?

i dunno :S
most of my planet are exposed to cluster missiles but apart from that, most of my planets (about 30) have 1500 def, ones recently attacked or scanned by alot of ships have 4500 def, my planets dont have attack apart from passive abillities and phase cutters.

5 of my planets are defenceless, theyre planets i keep but if someone invades, they can keep it...

my most precious planets, i usually activate a sentry guard + shield sentries +repulsor 24/7 so they are still quite heavily defended

heh, i think a planet with 4500 def and 1000 attk as well as still being able to produce 240 minerals per hour is quite a nice balance provided that no cluster missiles come in and blast things away...

well its not possible to keep that up when you get to be a very high rank unless you spend for it, and you will be spending a lot over time... it may work for now but after a while you will need to change your tactic..

well, Real Money or a ton of artifact production that compromises your research or mineral production.. but then your ship would also explode in size from all the bots and prisoners and crew..ect.

iim aiming for a tonne of artifact prodution, currently im getting too much research, getting better strucutres to make my production explode, (level8s did just that) if i have high research i need high mining so yuppie, artifacts are free and i badly need decks cuase npc modules ate them all

You don't want to end up what I have done, my research was always more then my mining and arti put together, unfortunately now I can not afford my ships 560m Upkeep at Rank 215 from minerals alone. You have good production accross the board averaging 175 a planet but with only 1k mineral production your going to need to continue recieveing those Kurenite gifts to afford what you research.

yah, i know that, im trying to increase mining and artifacts instead, but my last planet scanning spree got me mostly research planets

Your average is pretty good for your rank. Artifacts are the right way to go. Once you get those 10's, you're going to be rollin'.

High research is never a bad thing, especially since Dan allowed research to be converted into credits after you hit around the 47million research mark. It's a godsend for me since everything is so expensive later. I agree with Paulfrick, getting those 10 buildings helps alot.

avg: 265 units an hour

Minerals: 13,785 units / hour
Artifacts: 12,635 points / hour
Research: 17,392 research / hour

Level 10 structures are good, but it seems to render special buidings like phase cutters, spy uplink and stuff like that less and less effective, sometimes i find my self i space short of building a level 8 structure on a planet so i just demolish a phase cutter put a level 8 structure on to max production...

I have found that the best way once they are gained is strip the planet down leaving the things I want to stay. Then rebuilding it from the ground up. Yes I max production. But upping the population and adding some defense is next.
