I'm hoping for a glimpse into the game's mechanics here.... And I'm hoping Webguy Dan may be able to help I would like to be able to calculate what scanning power is required to have a good chance of finding another planet based on how many planets are already in my planet list. this type of information is valuable so a player can calculate when the best time is to strip his/her ship and go for a scanning spree. thx. I think you get about 1 planet for every 16 scan points at 50% success rate, at least it worked out that way for me when I kept track of it. |
