What are the necessary steps to get the best production?

Put artifact structures on it, those have the best resource/space ratio.

yea unless you have a natural one with higher production ... put almost if not (if you feel safe enough) all the artifact based buildings you can

Is there anyway to increase the 28x?

as far as i now no and i looked at almost everything in the wiki at one point ... tho there are a small number out there that are better but without the huge bonus's u get from makeing one

the thing about the dyson mission is that you can use it to catch up in whatever resource you're behind in. so if you need money put mining structures, if your tech is lacking put research structures.

also, make sure to use it on a planet that NO ONE has scanned. otherwise they can sell it to a legion like the dysonians and make a lot of money.

I have to get flux, just waiting till i'm ready.

don't forget to use it on the WORST metallic you have, it even says it in the wiki. haahaha.
use it on the worst one and you'll get a larger return on your production.
right now my made dyson has over 900 artifact production when it was barely producing 100 something research before.

Also, use it on your worst Metallic, for most effect. I think the worst Metallic I've seen is Average and Extremely Rich.

A legion mate is gonna share a Average/Abundant Metallic.

Can they be scanned?

unless its the worst day of yout gaming life i dnt think so BUT they can just as easily as a normal planet, have the scan hacked from you threw lucky hacking ... and when i mean hacked from you ... they only see it but can attack it

it'll get 10k in passive attack, defense and cloak, and if you have a full legion of active people the passive cloak will be 20k. I've read the max reachable scan right now is 12k. so it shouldn't be able to be scanned.

The new weekly misson reward, those cube artifacts, they can bump up the research past 28x. i know a guy who's Dyson has at 31x research
