the only NPCs I've encountered since I went active again were hired convoys because of a mission. I think I remember from scanning a long time ago or maybe not.
so, HOW DO YOU ENCOUNTER NPCS?

not really following your question they are located in the battle tab.

I know what the battle tab is, that's where I've been disabling hired convoys, my question is how do you get other NPCs in the battle tab to spawn.

its random they spawn by killing them. or wait the timer for them to despawn and a new one comes.

well, none seem to be spawning. and there are only 2 hired convoys left in my battle tab.

Hired convoys are mission NPCs and will not disappear until you kill them. They have no refresh timer.

*facepalm* sometimes I feel like noone understands my statement or question. HOW DO YOU GET NPCS TO SPAWN????????

They won't until you kill the hired convoys.

oh, thanks, dang hired convoys. I hope I get a rare NPC after killing them for a terraforming device.

hey we were all there it takes times to fig out things... there are many things that even high ranks can learn. that's what is good about this form, when you look at the right posts that is. you have to wipe away a lot of the crap, but many on here do share great info and are more than willing to help.

If your in the under rank 100, i think you should be able to see scrap carriers which drop terraformers.

8 hired convoys to kill before u get a new set of npc's to spawn.

Only if he had 8 on his battle tab. If he only did it twice, than he will only have 2 kill. Even then, once one of them dies (assuming there are only 2 in his 2 slots), a new NPC will spawn.

I finally killed them all, the volcanic heat seekers are very useful, not if only I had more volcanic worlds worth colonizing to put them on and for a good NPC to spawn.
