Hey, im new to galaxy legion, i was just wondering if anybody did things in a specific way and if it worked out for them? im rank 11 aerlen fixer. I have 14,180,351 credits. Wondered the best way to get more research and minerals etc?

Focus on energy to level faster. Planetary structures to get better production. scan to find more planets(which increases chance of finding good ones.
Other than that make sure you only take really good planets! Experienced players wont take anything less than large/rich.
Everything else is secondary.
If you want to be good at battle get lots of guns and hull. Get your dominion cannons as soon as possible because they are a huge advantage at low levels.

courtney: find and join a good legion and learn from them, read the forums and wiki as much as you can, have a goal for what you are doing in the game as the race, trade, and missions you choose will have a huge affect down the road. Also read up on how to use ranks points/rescued prisoners/ship bots between crew, decks and cargo, that also has a huge impact. Definitely be picky on planets you occupy/invade when you can, and be careful what artifacts you use on them (don't use good mission artifacts on bad planets like I did!), although you can use a Mylarai artifact later to pull them off and re-use them.

Most of all have fun and don't get discouraged when you get disabled.

As an Aerlean fixer you will want to invest heavily in defense and hull.
Focus on decks so you can fit plenty on and research energy up to graviton core mk 4. Then move on to defense, Motion compensator mk 3. And finally hull ablative whipple platings. By the time you have finished these you should have a feel for the game and will want to start researching cannons, scanners, and structures.
Cloaking can be useful, but is no means a priority early on.
