Question about Elite NPC's

 If I was to come across a Elite NPC and i wanted to get rewards from them, can i damaged them to a point to secure a reward then alert the elite? I know some elites are intended to be battled by 3 or 10, but i wondering if you can secure a reward first then alert, is it possible?

yes u can lock then alert

Yes, that is possible. You could also try requesting they leave room for you, but I don't know how your Legion is.

ive killed one myself once. you dont have to alert it, but you should.
