After looking at the new updates you've posted teasers on planet abilities, i was wondering. Will these abilities be added at random to occupied and unoccupied planet, just unoccupied planets or planets generated after the update?

Some will be random, like weather and such, wich was suggested before. But others will be controllable.

see, the primary problem i see with this new update, is you have to visit your planet to update the status. so whats to stop a player from waiting till they get a 'sunny' day or whatever it will be to give a bonus to production, and then never visit that planet again, essentially locking in his bonus indefinitly. unless dan plans to finally change the way colonies grow and planets update, i see major potential for explotiment.

Dan didn't say that there would be production changes based on weather he only said that there would be planetary events / discoveries and planet abilities
Though, if he implements production based on daily weather, rest assured he would have a script run once a day to update all the planets, which would eliminate the need to bother manually refreshing recently colonized planets ourselves, though if we know the exact time of day we invaded/colonized we could still manually refresh to get a few extra points for the hours before the next daily refresh

If you don't have 200+ planetary time vortexes in your cargo... I'll send you some.
