I reset my account several times till i found what worked for me, but I have to agree with everyone else, resetting past a certain point ( rank 120 - 150 ish ) seems like a bad idea considering what you - potentially - have access to in the game at that time.

By that I mean mission chains and races. You really want to get your mining up, that will probably solve all of your problems. It was suggested only go for toxic planets, good suggestion. Mining planets are another good one as for the artifacts that certain missions offer that support them. I would focus on the Myalari chain, and then switch to one if you have a free swap. Then Stall your leveling until your mining planets are maxed out, due to race ability. That would help tremendously.

Anyrate back to the topic, I am a fan of account reset, as it lets you see what does / doesnt work for your play style, but at your level I would deffinatly advise against it.

Agreed - planetary research is always good for you, especially once you get past the +6's. Increased resource production with no upkeep cost!
