Speaking from the lower end of the ladder, we have a policy in place to try and keep some heat off the lower ranked pilots in our squadron.

If the target legion is in either top-10 list, do not invade unless it's a counterstrike for a taken planet. If it is, tell us first before you commit so we can do it right.

If the legion is in either top 11-30, do not invade unless you clear it with an officer first. If it's a counter-invasion, use your best judgement.

If the legion does not rank as high as 30 on either list, use your best judgement.

Finally, don't bother taking a planet if you don't think you have the strength to defend it long-term. Asking for help guarding for a few days is fine, but if it gets taken back because you can't handle it on your own then you bit off more than you could chew.

Nice people will come last.. This game is for the survival of the fittest type of players. If we see find planets worth taking, we will take it by force or by trade. We fully expect to lose planets to those players because we considered it as our fault for not protecting our planets well. We consider planets as fair game either to lose or to gain.. Dysonians Legion has no policy on planet restrictions. We are free to do whatever we please. Anybody outside our legion are free to take our planets if they thought that would worth their time and we welcome it because it's just our fault for not fortifying our planets well in first place. Of course, we would attempt to re-take if not fluxed or just let it go if not worth our time..

One problem that I can see is that lower rank players are largely at mercy for losing planets much more than gaining to high rank players like us.. It should be some handicap modifier to rank vs rank invasion to protect lower rank players better..
