I dont get hacked often but the last two times have both been critical!!! :x the first was during a planned 1V1 battle and now, i just lost another in an over-kill retaliation.

Is my ship more suseptable to Critical hacks> or am i just terribly unlucky?

Is there some thing i can do to avoid this!!!???

both times i have been online and had no research available, (all spent) does that increase the chances of a critical??

LOL my bad. still i have never been able to 'flux' my planets therefore my planets have been discovered by multiple ships..... probing them would still be useless  and if i did some how find out what planet they stole. i would be helpless to defend against them.... 2 opponents 2-3 times my rank :(

Usually, it's an enemy or unoccupied planet. So you might be safe.
Add some cloaks, even a small one if you can.
Cloak:210 ish
Sha'din AI Core
Decryption Quad-Frame
I tab off and on my Stealth Field Emitter because I'm sneaky.

Yes, even I crit hack by tabbing the emitters on and adding a Pyramid or an Algorithm.
It depends on what you're more afraid of ... getting hacked ... or disabled ... while you sleep.

Well. I've been crit hacked and I've crit failed.

The crit hack was from retaliation.
The fail was a random badge hit.

Neither time have they gotten anything worth while.

I think your quite unlucky.

Pertominus what lvl are you? I'm 171 with 427 cloak before the zolazin bonus, but if you're a lower rank i guess I'd have the better NPC drops for cloaking, if you're lower than me you could also install a small jammer to prevent hacking.

I think you are going wrong right here, if a hacker has say, a scanner with x amount of power, it can then see a ship with cloak with relative the same power, its researched module against researched module, not number against number, so you could theoretically have all of the npc cloaks installed, but if the hacking ship has a reasonably powerful scanner that has been researched he can break right through your cloak. at least with MY experience this has been the case. i hope this makes sense, ive taken off all of my scanners before and i see ships with a comparale number-wise better cloak than my scan and i still can see them.
