I down to only missions that require artifacts and exotic matter. To finish the mission I am currently working on I still need about 47,250 pieces of exotic matter. At my average rate of mining that will take me about 3 months to collect.
Anyone know of any good ways to increase my exotic matter?

Eh? Just increase your mining production to get more exotic matters.. Too many players I know have too low mining production. That is where problem lies..

Oh by the way.. I noticed the pattern.. Rarer your planets are, higher exotic matter production would be.. OR I am inclined to think that exotic planets give largest exotic matter productions.. Because my friend had no exotic planets while I have some. We both have same mining per hour.. Yet, I have much higher exotic production. I do have many more rare planets than he has so thats why I mentioned two possible approaches..

I actually have 45% research, 30% artifacts and 25% mining. I have upped my mining a lot recently

Its helping but I am still on track to finish in approximately 64 days. That is planning to add 3 mining focused planets with rich or better stats in the next two weeks.

I love LONG-term work to get something in a game like GL. I hope it stays that way. To create a Dyson planet should require long-term plan as well by having quasi-expander as ultra rare from artifact shipments.. It seems that exotic matter for those chain missions would arrive to uber mission at the end then long-term work would well worth it, I hope.. But each mission offers good blue-prints however that cost lot of exotic matters.. I am on 750 exotic matter cost mission now that would take 100 times to complete and I am glad for it. To complete it will certainly give great sense of accomplishment for us. :0 I have little over 900 mining units per hour now. I produce about 1k exotic matters every 24 hours I think.. I just need to add up more closely and will tell you exactly..

Ah, I did some calcuation.. I get ~4.5% exotic matter extracted from all mining production so I earn 960 exotic matters per day (24 hours) based on 900 production. Assuming that my mining stays the same at 900 all way. I would complete 75k matter in 78 days as well (I haven't started that mission yet). But 78 days will drop eventually as I rank up acquiring more mine-rich planets over time.. Wonder what next mission would look like after completing our mission, eh? Heh..

Also, write notes to your legion explaining the problem, I'm sure they'll be happy to offer some spare exotic matter if they're lower ranked or have no uses for them currently.
(By the way, what mission is this?)

After all that work it wasn't all that great. Gives you the blueprint for an exotic lab. The Exotic Lab takes up 1 space and produces one research point but costs 5000 exotic matter for each one you build.
You are much better off spending 75 exotic matter on the mission that gives star chart purgers and using those to scan for great research planets.

BTW, grats on completing that expensive mission however.

So if you have 1 open spot it is great to plug in if you have the stuff.

That is 6 planets erased plus all that experience gained. Its safe to say that the exotic energy used to create one lab could easily help you find a better/new planet with plenty of room
