A new mission appeared in the top of my listing tonight:

Furtive Adjustments
400 Energy, 50 Complex Tech Parts per round
Rewards: 850 experience points, Dark Smuggler Chassis (on completion)
80 rounds/completion
This mission will end after being completed once.

You may have fooled a random smuggler, but Guild Officials won't be so blind. Gaining an Aperture-Key to the Dark Rootnode would be quite a prize, but your ship needs to appear more...criminal first. Specific parts are needed to create the disguise.

Each round:

You continue to prepare the disguise...
You gained: 978

Upon completion:

Complete! You have finished constructing a Dark Smuggler Chassis
You receive a Dark Smuggler Chassis (artifact)
You gained: 978

Dark Smuggler Chassis:

Special Weapon - Size 25, Invade:600, Adds Disguise
While installed, your ship will appear as a Dark Smuggler to those targeting your ship. (limit 1 per ship)

Scrap Value (ea):9-18 Complex Tech Parts

this is a continuation of the Hastened Dispatch mission which started by locating and taking out Caelon, an NPC with 2000 cloak
something tells me there will be even more to this series in the future

Sounds like a continuation of the Hastened Dispatch Mission. Maybe this is the Dark Smuggler's chain...

Can't wait to get the Artifact for no other reason than I'm SICK and TIRED of looking at my ship. Human have the absolute WORST looking ship in the game. There are some others I don't care for very much but the human is the worst one by a country light year. Though the 600 to invade will be nice since I CAN'T SEEM TO INVADE A PLANET WITH ZERO TOTAL DEFENSE. I guess my AWESOME dropship commanders got the landing coordinates wrong and landed in a Volcano. Wouldn't have been so bad but I tried to invade another one with ONLY 75 total defense and my guys landed in another Volcano. You would think that a Volcano would stand out on a Gas AND an Ocean planet. I guess I got the crew from Space Balls (Movie, NOT the Legion) as my crew. Come to think of it they were cheap.........................Didn't think that a 90% chance to invade meant a 100% chance to FAIL. Now I know. :)

The mission after this is called "Dark Upgrades"

Requires 2000 Cloaking, takes 250 Unstable Wormhole Emitters, can be completed one time, and gives the "Dark Aperture-Key" reward!

Interesting...

The Dark Aperture unlocks an ability

Dark Aperture-Key
Opens a portal to the Dark Rootnode, the main black market used by the Dark Smuggler Guild.
Reduces your trade tariff cost by half (ie 20% to 10%) for 1 hour.

it has a 12 hour recharge and costs 50 energy

There's a slight problem with this module as after you install it, it says it gives 500 invasion attack

I like it. I look like a Dark Iso-Runner. I just wish my attack and defense matches those that attack me. =)

the next one is 10% reduction on tariff. Changed how I sell my minerals now. I save Dysillion, Kur and Aid and make about extra 3bil a day when i sell it off. Not actual math but that's what it seems like.

it seems like 60% of the minerals I get are dysillion(though that's an exaggeration) if I saved that along with kurenite and aidonium I'd only get 2, maybe 3 good pulls before I filled up completely
