Hi im a level 121 zolazin sabotour and im wondering if im doing it right my main focus is just progress im not bothered about pvp stats i just want to level up as fast as possible and get better planets to get more research etc. I have 601 energy wich fills up in 16 hours i have plenty of credits for now and artifacts are ok to but for a while now i have been putting all rank points into decks and im wondering if thats the right thing for me to be doing for what i want to do.i currently have 706 decks and they are all used up
So basicly im just looking for some adivce for what to change, if anything.

research energy and for better planet outputs, research high level planetary structures. and btw u should put all rank points into deck

Yeah here's an example of someone who screwed up from an early level haha. ME!
I've just turned rank 104 and I have only 289 decks and for the last 2 or 3 ranks I've just started putting all rank points into decks. I can barely fit anything on and I can only have 3 main modules on at one time.

E.g 3 heavy quantum devastators , 5 mission devices (2 zolazin hammers, stryll transponder, exo-temporal translator, anomalous engine), 2 merged nanosphere plating, dark ring thruster AND THAT'S ME FULL.

So yeah, your doing it right :)

if you want to rank fast there is no harm putting a few points into engineers... eventually you will be big enough and have enough artifact per/h to substitute rank points for ship bots... but it will be a commitment if you do! it is difficult to correct misplaced rank points.

There's really only 3 places to put rank points. Decks, Engineers, and Tactical Officers. At low ranks, its best to put them into decks because you won't have the artifact capacity to maintain a steady growth on your ship through ship-bots. Somewhere around 2500-3000 decks, you want to shift your rank points into Engs and Tacts. By that time, you should have enough artifact production to draw ship-bots to keep pace with your upgrades. Depending on your play style, you can use several ratios for your rank points. If you want to fast rank, put more into engineers. If you want to slow rank and have a tank for a ship, put more into tactical officers.

I can beat that, I screwed up even harder rank 1-80, then I went inactive for a few months, then came back
before I made a thread on how well I was doing
all energy modules, very little decks, terrible planetary production, at the point of reset
and yet, I BROUGHT MY SHIP BACK FROM DAT! in only 2 weeks I brought my ship from the point of reset to below average, and 4-6 weeks later, I got to I think a good point
also, to OP, you're doing things right.

o.O you reset your account and claim to have come back..... only partially my friend, however that is a good recovery time.

i have lived with every decision i have made. the 100 engineers. the 200 cargo. flying for months with no weapons. spending my starting GP on cloning pods

try colonizing a large sparse gas and wasting 5 gp on abandoning it after finding a terra planet( I no longer have it, I don't know what happened to it nor remember it's stats.)
I actually had engineers, just nothing else, I was stupid enough to blow rank points on cargo.
also, I DID NOT reset my account, I was smart enough to not listen to commonwealth about resetting.
