Just scanned a large oceanic owned by an extremely high level player in a very powerful legion, appears to be nothing big for someone of that rank he doesnt even have defences on it but im level 25 and he is clear of 800 should i go for this?

you'd get a green badge out of it.. maybe a planet if the person has something better lined up. people have pure production planets because the planet itself wouldn't be worth it otherwise, you could get lucky.

As what would probably be called a mid-rank player who happens to be in a top 10 legion, if a large oceanic is undefended and is anything less than Rich, you'd probably be doing the guy a favor really.

the ones I find funny are the top 10 legion planets that sit with no structures on them at all. They must either figure that's the biggest invitation flag you can put up to have a planet taken or have long forgotten about them

Uh yeah, in that case, the only thing present on the planet is "Take Meeeeeeeeeeee" blasted into the side of the planet with lasers.

If the planet is only large in size and no better than very rich he would probably not mind you taking it. If it was my planet i would even give you the credits to help you invade it.

Thanks everyone for the input, i decided to attack the planet but did not have the credits to take it and as of yet the hasnt been any response from the other player

For what it's worth, I leave planets I would be happy to be rid of without defense or attack and hope someone takes them. Large Oceanic isn't worth keeping unless it's sitting at Ultra Rich or better imho.
