Post subject:  What can I do to drain my money?
Ever since I got that exotic and reached rank 90, my credits have burst the roof. Ive gone from 50 mil to 700mil in 2 or 3 days. I need something to drain my money, and all my planets already have the best buildings that ive researched so far(Global Meshing). What can I do?

Ridiculous specialization of research can raise your upkeep pretty fast. Quantum buildings

If you do a ridiculous push in any field of research the module cost and upkeep get really high, really fast... not a specialization IN research but an actual research specialization.

Ok, thanks guys, Ill try specializing in PVP stuff, Attack, Defense, Sheilding, Hull, after I go down below 4 or 300 mil Ill start my balancing thing again.

there's that starbase royale mission that costs 50k per go and has a chance for mission failure. that should be a good cred drain as well I suppose

Yeah, but it costs energy, and energy is more precious than money. And if I win I get more money than I started out with. And I just realized Im already at 1 mil upkeep, so if I reach the 15 milo cap it wonbt make much of a difference, 14 mil less dollars a day, when Im getting 40-100 mil depending on my luck. So Im gonna need something that costs a lot of money just to BUY, not upkeep. Dont say buildings, because if I upgrade buildings Ill be getting MORE money.

getting the +6 resource buildings on all your planets will cost you upwards of a billion gold, I'd call that the fastest drain. +8 or 10 would be even more.

Instead of building Mines, try building Artificers and Research centers.. that will balance your too-much-credit problem. hehe

I am now over 1 billion credits and climbing. The problem is most of my mining planets are only good at mining. On most of them its like this.

Planet blahblahblah
Toxic or Volcanic
Mining: Very Abundant(From the early days)-extremly rich
Artifact: None-very sparse
research: None-to very sparse

well then there is your problem. focus on artifact and research planets in the future instead.

by ridiculous specialization I sort of meant like one and one only field of research if you wouldn't mind the ridiculous upkeep. I suppose it would be nearly impossible to pick just one though. Stealth might help fuel itself if you hack a lot. Scanners might get you different planets, but would be unlikely to raise your upkeep in the long run. Probably weapons, then just fight NPCs and spend money on repairing your hull.

For now I just keep saving and spend the amount I need. I have enough that I as I am do not care about my upkeep I get that amount at least twice every 4 hours. (well sometimes it seems like 24 days worth in one go).

But I would rather keep seeing my creds climb then sell it. Why? When I start upgrading the few planets I care about a ton I know will need it, if not for the, for the ore needed to build it. Face it, it is best to save.

I need cash real bad all the time. So if you ever need any artifacts or help with something let me know and I will trade you for some of your cash. :D My daily up keep is up to 983.3M. :shock: So the more the better. lol
