Post subject:  Thinking of stopping ranking for a week or two...
I am a rank 87 and thinking that I might stop ranking for a week or two to get ahead of my research like, finish my neutronium armor, get some much needed planetary research done and get a little ahead on research. This is because I plan to pvp until I get enough red badges to get 4 DMK mark III's and to also get 3 protean armory's.
I will need just over 350 red badges and just over 170 yellow badges to complete all of this, all this pvp will take me close to the kills leaderboard to because I will have almost 1000 kill's. So I want to get into the kills leaderboard to while I am at it.

If am am going to pvp a LOT what would you say is the most important stat to get up, hull, defense or attack?
Here are my stats-
Battles 8077 (Master)
Player Kills 566
Deaths from Players 94
Non-Player Kills 467
And here are my modules

Weapons Heavy Singularity Launcher x2, Dominion Cannon - Mark II x3, Dominion Cannon, Crimson Auto-Phaser, Crimson Auto-Laser x3
Energy Singularity Core - Mark IV x3, Drannik Power Core x2, Omicron Injector
Sensors offline
Hull Neutronium Armor x3
Shields Harmonic Resonator
Cloaking offline
Defenses Phase Shift Engine - Mark III, Dark Ring Thruster x4


I have 4 scruuge x deflectors in cargo.

defense and attack R fine, get another 1 or 2 platings. with your armories, that will be fine as well :P

If you plan on stalling ranking, lose the reactors. Throw on some more plating, and get those Armouries! If you got any extra space, another gun couldn't hurt.

if you plan on stalling ranking, max your cloak and scan and go hacking.... get your cipherbots and quads.... no xp gain from hacks, so you can still be doing stuff and stall for as long as you want

I'll vouch for this!

Just be careful, some people are very touchy with hacking (I've gotten alerted MUCH more for hacking than disabling).

How are you doing on income? Not much point in getting research ahead if you can't afford it.

I have about 1.7B credits and getting 756 minerals per hour.

You'll need a LOT more if you wanna bump your tech any higher

But what should I try and get, everyone's saying different things

Minerals 756 units / hour

Artifacts 678 points / hour

Production: 527 research / hour

I would much prefer more artys though.

Bump up your art, then your mining

Drop the energy, and load up on scan + cloak

aye... get your arti to around double your minerals... and keep it there...

generally speaking i like to try to keep my resources where they all cap at the same time... and keep them around an 8-9 hr cap, so i can use a dark smuggler cache whenever

Personally, when freezing rank best to have extremely strong resources and able to login & pick up frequently.
