So, if you're like most players, you followed the tutorial when you started the game, and settled a crappy first planet (since that what it seems you're SUPPOSED to do). Many people then use 5 of their 10 free galaxy points to abandon that planet.

Don't waste your GP. Eventually, you'll end up completing 'The Terra Project.' The reward is a Hyper-Terraformer, which transforms any planet into a Massive Exotic with 13x Mega Rich production in all resources. All you need is patience to get the 10 terraformers needed to complete the mission, and your very first planet can become your best planet.

Tips for creating your Massive Exotic:
1. Save up your artifact buildings, so that you can place them right away
2. If it's a volcanic or gas planet, try to put some Eruption Channelers or Igniter Rods on it BEFORE using the Hyper-Terraformer
3. Save a Planet Flux for the occasion - if it's crappy, chances are you weren't cloaking it (and shouldn't have been, since it'd be a waste of space) and several other people can see it. You don't want to lose it right away
4. Have a 'Happy Dance' planned - it's an exciting event!

Make sure you use your volcanic eruptions before changing the planet type. Having an exotic with a nice innate attack bonus would make it that much better!
