For Defense, Hull, Shields, and Attack. No tactical extenders installed. Anyone? |

If all tech is maxed some good setups are. This can take a lot of damage costing lot's of energy , but the low attack means they don't have to repair as much. 8 hull 8 defense 1 guns This wont take as much energy to kill , but the repairing will slow/stop some ships. 5 hull 5 defense 10 guns This is a more balanced set up. 7 hull 7 defense 4 gun |

People will spend a whole lot of RNs and stuff just to disable a base. Rather let them waste energy, something many can't necessarily buy. What about shields though? |

Shields are a waste of space early on. There only advantage is recharging and weak bases don't recharge. Just a note with the low attack the damage done will be more constant as they don't have to repair as much and even smaller ship can hit it. The only thing stopping them is there energy. With the attack set up it takes both energy and repair supply's , but it's easy to trade for repair supply's. There is no perfect set up , till you have 12 of everything. Don't forget to look at your base abilities , if you don't have many Lazuli/Fixer and Aerlen , but have lots of loyal member's attack set up may be better. |

Actually, with enough shields and physicists and defense, you can make it impossible to disable a base. Though, that number has probably gone up quite a bit now due to the improvements to the old lag issue, it's still possible to make it impossible (as in no amount of ships can do that amount of damage with the way the servers are) to disable a base. |
