So he levels approximately 1100 ranks in a very short amount of time, and then just quits? P.S. Very jealous of how ever he was able to rank that much so quickly. Wish I knew. |

Put all your points into energy. EVERYTHING. Conquer planets that produce artifacts that make Rescued Prisoners. Put all those points into energy. EVERYTHING. Repeat until bored, which in Frail's case was Level 3000. |

It probably did get boring after a while, but it is interesting how folks just jump to that conclusion concerning his lowered interest in the game. What about the fact he has played almost since the game started like some of us? What about the fact he accomplished his goals; like proving an energy ship could get crazy high ranks AND be powerful (remember the whole debate about putting rank points into Tac Officers vs Engineers? Guess it could be argued he was right.) What about the fact that he just has other real life commitments like Threadbaer, or any number of other folks who gave up the game? He doesn't need me to defend him, but I just find it interesting how limited the conversation has been up to this point. Edit: I see where Binary Man mentioned the idea of completing an accomplishment in the other topic. +1 |

Frail eliminated the need of CC in this game with his build and at the same time he made pretty strong ship didnt he? Ive seen few month old thread somewhere where he said he had 11k officers... anyways sad to see him go but since he didnt give away his planets and all the other goodies there is a chance he will be back after he takes some time off |

yes, doing it via missions is interesting but ultimately useless. there is no repeatable mission worth it, even purgers -- the only way to truly good planets is npc farming not purgers/finding planets (most are crap, best is VL/3x terra usually, which is still less than you can build from lab items, which means its still crap). He didnt want to waste the time farming for drops, honestly netiher do i, now i am collecting resources and thats about it (#2 rank, ~1740). until dan adds a 1 click kill button on the npc screen, what is the point of clicking endlessly to kill an npc ? I get about 1 terraformer per 1000 kills, but really... what is the point anymore. I could have a million energy and attack and it would still be just as boring. I just talk with friends and help people with upgrades atm. I have been playing minecraft instead cause at least that is entertaining. I'm not quitting im just getting storages and collecting for now until the game gets fun again. |

Not sure on FRAILS playing style, but i'd imagine his BT for PvP is only a few people... 3000/50=1500 (yes i know its 40%) So how many people can he even fight with... If he's done all the missions except repeatable... why bother.... if he's gotten the 'right' planets AND filled his 'empty planet slots' I'm thinking it might take a VERY long time to fill up those capacities... But those are just some things that I was thinking might cause him to slow down... |

He doesn't have his planets maxed. Or at least not the last time we spoke. Even with a couple trillion in the bank, they become cost prohibitive. (His words, not mine) |

Yes I specifically am doing the opposite that he is -- not trying to fill each slot with a found AP planet. Instead, I am only colonizing when I am ready to make a 15x planet, so the slot cost is not that high relative to my income yet, and I get the most out of each slot. So I actually have only about 150 planets not 350+ like him, but they are something like 3-4x as valuable. |
