Post subject:  Planetary Production Help Spreadsheet (upon request)

I will try to make a spreadsheet on what the production values would be for various sized of planets and abundance of materials.

This is easily figured out upon one's self but at least this might help. Thanks for some of the posts Dan as in some of your information was used!!! =D (please post questions or comments after so maybe i can update this for everyone later to a new Thread!

Below is some generic information that should me used for class and race specializations and bonus's
I DO WANT to say.. i have a spreadsheet made on my compute that i can just input numbers and go from there... so if any other questions please ask!!! thanks!!!
Below is a list of all planetary types in Galaxy Legion and their abilities:

Gas - research only
Barren - good minerals
Volcanic - good minerals
Toxic - variable
Icy - good artifacts
Oceanic - good artifacts and research
Terra - great artifacts, good research
Desert - variable
Exotic - great everything
Dyson - amazing everything, only a few in the galaxy

With that said, here is a quick cheat-sheet on the availabilities: (labeled beside are the % abundance of resources gained)

Extremely Sparse (-75%)
Very Sparse (-50%)
Sparse (-25%)
Average (+0%)
Abundant (+25%)
Very Abundant (+50%)
Extremely Abundant (+75%)
Rich (+100%)
Very Rich (+125%)
Extremely Rich (+150%)
Ultra Rich (+175%)
Mega Rich (+200%)
X Mega Rich (these come in 2X - 40X) (this varies based on the (#)X-Mega Richness) (2x Mega = 250%, 3x Mega = 275%... etc)

Size of planets from largest to smallest: (the # beside then is the BUILDING space available on each
1- Dyson (only a few in the entire galaxy) (81)
2 - Colossal (only a few in the entire galaxy) (75)
3 - Very Massive (69)
4 - Massive (63)
5 - Very Large (57)
6 - Large (51)
7 - Average (45)
8 - Small (39)
9 - Very Small (33)
10 - Tiny (27)
11 - Very Tiny (21)

------RACES------
- Inergon - 10% extra max energy
- Human - 10% extra to all experience gains
- Konqul - 20% extra ship attack
- Sillixx - 10% extra ship size
- Vygoid - 20% bonus to research

Emerging - 1 days owned - +20% production bonus
Developing - 2 days owned - +40% production bonus
Maturing - 3 days owned - +60% production bonus
Peaking - 4 days owned - +80% production bonus
Peaked - 5 days owned - +100% production bonus

Before i get into the Spreadsheets i just want to explain ONCE how TOTAL production is Figured up.... that way i can make a fast simple spreadsheet that you can figure out on your own! ;)

Total production is figured by this equation:
Base Production = Amount from structures
availability bonus = Abundance of resources
Development Bonus = Time Owned (0-5 days)
Race Bonus = Depends on specific resource and race... (mining and artifacts give 10%, research gives 20%) (IF your that class/race ONLY)

(base production (from buildings))+(base production*% of abundance)= Y
(Y + (Y*% of Development Bonus)= Z
(Z + (Z*% of Race/class Bonues) = Grand total

(Kinda Confusing Right?) Here's the actual Example and Breakdown

My planet: Very Massive (how much space is alowed to build on (69 in this case))
Gas
Very Abundant research (this is the availability Bonus) (50% in this case)

Total hourly production: 72 Units an hour

----break down of production to get 72/hr----

Research Production: 24 (Output from buildings on planet BEFORE bonus's)
Availability Bonus: 50% (From the Abundance of resource on planet)
Development Bonus: 100% (This varies on how long you've owned planet)

ok back to my production of 72/hour

This is all based off the amount of building on the planet actually producing resources...
so for mine it starts out at 24 (from building Bonus's)

so the start is 24

Then we add the 50% availability Bonus so... 24+(24 * .50) = 36

The development Bonus (this one is FULLY developed) is derived from that Number of 36 so... 36 + (36 * 1.00) =72

If you were Vygoid you would add another 20% to research on this planet from that 72

so 72 + (72 *.20) = 86.4 per hour (if you were Vygoid)

This goes along with any race or class bonus's... it is always added last..

so another quick example... in case you need it

Large Barren Planet (51 space)
Very Abundant Mining (50% production Bonus)

16 base production from buildings, 50% bonus from abundance on planet, and 80% development bonus, and 10% class bonus.. so...

16+ (16*.5)= 24 /hr
24+ (24*.8)= 43.2 /hr
43.2 +(43.2*.1)= 47.52 /hr

so in one day it would chance to 100% development so...

16+ (16 *.5)= 24 /hr
24+ (24 * 1.00)= 48 /hr
43.2 +(43.2 * .1)= 52.8 /hr

52.8 per/hr mined on this one planet

SO NOW the SPREADSHEET (KINDA) lol I might not list EVERYTHING but this should be ENOUGH to get a general Idea of what is BEST!

(This all ALSO depends on TECH level of structures and is assuming your building MAX production ON the planets for that ONE resource ONLY)

Spreadsheet #1 (Assuming you have MAX of ALL Buildings size 4 (+1 production), 100% developed, (with "NO" Race/Class Bonus's Added) Per/Hour

*NOTE* These are building AS many size 4 +1 production buildings as you can.. so there may be space left over for other buildings

I do want to say.. if you want the total for ANY race/Class Bonus then take the total above and times it by 10% or 20% for research and add that back onto the total for your awnser

Example: Research bonus (20% or .2)

total (6) * (.20) = 1.2
6+1.2 = 7.2 per hour for Vygoid Reseach on a TINY -25% production planet for research

Thanks guys.. sorry the spreadsheet is kinda messed up with the 175% and the value to the left under the name.. the preveiw didn't show it like that... guess it did anyway lol

1) I would like to see More from you!

Seriously... Looks great, and very handy for deciding whether or not to abandon a planet to colonize another.

I'm working on something else at the momment that might help all of us here more then that spreadsheet.. but that's a start

An easy way to explain the way all of the bonuses work towards planetary resource production would be to say that they are multiplying factors rather than additive, since they compound upon each other.

In any case yes, makes it easy to know which planets are worth colonizing. If only I saw this before I colonized that very small volcanic planet!

I believe your terra is incorrect. More often then not terra has great research and great artifacts. For example most of mine (I have a bunch) have extremely-mega rich research and usually the same in artifacts.

Crazy good info tho. Should be stickied O_O

Edit: Also on planet development you have them all as new

Its :
New
Emerging
Developing
Maturing
Peaking
Peaked

yeah i did notice that about the all news.. downfalls of copy and paste.. you forget to change everything lol.. it's fixed

And as for the Terra abundance and their types.. that is info i copied DIRECTLY from one of Dan's Posts.. so i can't really say if it's right or not.. in dan i trust lol

Also Updated My First Post so now the production without (race/class Bonus's) shows for (+1/ Size 4) and a separate one for (+2/ Size 7)

Can someone explain the effect of habitation modules? Are they about the amount of "damage" a planet can take? I'm trying to figure out if I should be investing in defense, attack, stealth, or production and how to balance having enough of each.

Thanks,
Sean

They just add pop which is planet HP. So, it will take more energy to attack it before invasion can be done. Best combined with defence

Exactly. Habition increases population, which is the "health" of a planet the same way that hull is the health of your ship.
