I need some better planets, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to have a productive scan run with what I have. Stats are:

246 planets on list atm
Best scanners are X Manifolds, mark III
1 continuum parser
4x Exo-temporal translators
1 Sha'din AI Core
and 2 Hypergrid cores.

Should I do it now, or wait?

If you wait and purge more planets you can get a longer run of scanning.

If you do it now it will take longer to reset next time, but if you need something now you might get it now.

Its up to you really.

Thats hard to tell, other then pupping any scanning pumps and looking at it.

I have 5k base myself and with the artifact pumps it gets close to 7k just I end up having a max about 444 planets before I puff out.

If that is any help, but I also have that last tier of scanners to put on my ship,

I may need to research another tier of scanners, though it shouldn't take too long

My plain is kind of purging and then scanning new ones. But I have the last tiersitting researched.

Its up to you, but more planning you put into it better off you will be on the scan run.

Good luck.

Just did a scan run today myself with ~6800 scan power
It went "poor" at around 430ish planet scanned I think, I over-shot it thou cause i had excess energy for the next lvl. Ended at 464 but that's already a way into very poor.

Now I'm gonna stock pile another hundred or so purgers and/or get to next tier before next run~

Last Scan at ~3950 got me right about 300 total going about 10 planets into poor.

save your continuum parser for later, when you have max scanning. check the wiki for how to max your scan.
always save limit quantity items for the MAX effect. not for middle of the road

It's not a limited quantity item ;).

Practice that i use is to purge all planets from DB except mine + those i want to invade when my attack goes up.

My next scan run will start from 85 planets with scan of around 8k. Lots of chances to find at least 1 good planet.
