Anybody have the equation for this or care to crunch the numbers for me? I've got 2710 attack (A bit over 3000 buffed) and I'm hoping to take a planet with about 8300 defense. Could you guys help me work out the average damage per shot? Or rather the maximum damage per shot? I need to work out the amount of energy I'll need to take this thing so that I can blitz it and take it quickly. |

I don't know how much damage you'll do, but you'll get a a roughly 15% chance of taking it |

You'd do about 1-2 damage per shot. |

Damn.. I'm gonna sab it, too, which will bring the defense down by over 2500. Forgot to mention that. EDIT 5280 Defense will vanish if me and a legion-mate both sab it. |

Your attack should be about 3x the combined attack and defense of the planet to have a 90% chance of invasion success. If your attack matches the combined attack and defense of the planet, you will have about a 33% chance of success If you're able to remove the 2500 defense by sabbing, a 2710 attack vs a planet defense of 5800 would still only give about a 16% chance |

Use this formula to get a ballpark figure for average damage per shot. Combat Formula Approximation Damage cap for planets is 20. |

We've used Tanh in school.. Or it's in the formula booklet. I've not got a clue what it is though or how to calculate it. Does h represent another variable? |

No, it is a Hyperbolic Function. The Windows7 calculator has the TANH function if you use the Scientific view. Don't let your head explode... |

Ugh.. And I though I was done with maths. Presuming my results go well, I've actually finished Maths forever as of yesterday! If things don't go well for my other subjects, I may just be doing a degree in it... |

And on a completely different side note, would you mind taking your adult dragons out of your signature? |

Are there any rules saying I have to remove my adult dragons? I don't own any others. I could reduce it to just one line. Do CotH, CosecH and SecH exist? |

I took the planet.. Then got invited to a legion by the previous owner of the planet. I did 2 damage with about 80% of my shots, the rest of them being 3. |
