I heard that the 7% bonus invasion attack applies only for invasion attack. The bonus's from Psionic Amplifiers, Lazuli Controllers, stryll pathogen etc.

{(Ship attack * attack buffs)+Invasion Attack}*(Invasion % Buffs)

it is (Ship attack + Invasion Attack) X all buffs that affect attack (including invasion buffs) done in sequence

Atnospheric Decimators are a highly worthwhile addition- if you like to save ship space and have cargo space- just leave em off till you need to invade

Sorry, Fab... ODragon is correct. Total Invasion attack = [ (Standard Attack * Standard Buffs) + Invasion Attack(*1.2 if Konqul) ] * 1.07^d Where d = no. of Decimators. I've got a spreadsheet set up for calculating my invasion chances and it is completely accurate with that formula.

Yes but don't just take planets for the greens, make sure they're good ones as well.
