I want to be more hard to kill. I WAS thinking xecti. spent 8k energy then halted on xecti chain to probs go lazuli. what about lazuli fixer. im thinking that may be better now. for harder to kill ship. any thoughts and opinions I am after. maybe not as such 'go laz fixer its better' I wanted to know what you think advantages are about both races. thanks alot!

Lazuli fixer is harder to kill because a few debuffs and your xecti advantage is taken away.

Have to agree with Tree to a degree on this. I'll generally bump Lazuli Fixers unless I'm in a mood or I already know they have a crap ship. Xecti Fixers, meh... They die fairly easily. BUT... You shouldn't be relying on your race and profession to be "hard to kill." Build a great ship and you'll last longer no matter what race/profession you are. Honestly, I don't really get the whole hard to kill thing. Its a game, people die, nothing bad happens.

Anyways, I agree with darth and tree.

If you want to be more hard to kill, Lazuli. If you want a better chance at keeping your planets, Xecti.

Alwyas go for the tactical advantage, fully debuffed xecti are squishy, and lazuli are chewy, so it really doesnt matter, but how many ion storms can you through at a planet in a single run?

yeah lazuli will make people MAYBE skip over you, whilst xecti really wont.. but that 40% boost to planet stats cant be laughed off if youve got nice planets. id sooner have a floating junk heap in the short run, to keep all my planets (note, ive got a tough ship and have never been lazuli or fixer. I as aerlen for about a week, and kongul to start and talth forever now)

In all honesty the Xecti boost doesn't count for much if say...my legion finds the planet but it'll help defend against the rest of 'em

and with a few EMPs your hull doesnt matter for much more either... especially when people start blowing 2K chunks of hull off with each shot.

True, but if someone attacks a lazuli he will have to spend few more energy to take him out.If he attacks a xecti and uses the same amout of debuffs he will need less energy to take his opponent out.The main reason of this topic was lazuli vs xecti and lazuli wins.If someone would use the same debuffs on a xecti and on a lazuli, he will need more energy to disable the lazuli (assuming that they both have the same stats - withouth the racial bonuses).IMO that is.

After spending 100+ energy on debuffs, it reall doesnt matter what race / profession you are, the only thing that will save you is if your online.

but without debuffs im talking ofc. because race/prof is pointless against debuffs.
getting feeling lazuli would win hands down without debuffs.

The true benefit of Xecti is not the ship bonus, anybody can be heavily debuffed and disabled while offline, regardless of Race/Profession.

Well, assuming no debuffs, if you only care about your ship and nothing else then go lazuli but to run numbers for you, so you get a wide comparison : me as lazuli : 48750 hull 11.7k attack 15k defense me as xecti [ while defending ]: 32712 hull 16380 attack 21000 defense Planets that I dont want taken, as xecti : vault world : 62476 defense 53949 attack arti world : 51515 defense 10353 attack

Pretty much agree with everyone. Lazuli would make it tougher for people to kill, probably targeted less than xecti, and has a bonus of 2 NPC slots. Xecti would be more for defending your planets, but with your ship you may just be bumped by most anyways. Both good races, just depends on what's more important to you imo.
