I have 6 NPC slots meaning I can see six at a time. I have heard all kinds of different theories about this. Some people say you should go in order and you will get better NPCs. Other say pick the weakest and you will get more experience because you destroy more. What do you guys think? And Dan, is it true if you skip over NPCs the game gives you less of the Boss/artifact NPCs? |

I always figured you should kill the weakest one, because the more you run into the more likely you are to get a rare one. If they're all the same, then kill the most recent, because the older ones may end up expiring naturally if you just kill the recent ones. But I guess that is all just supposition, but I'm fairly certain the simplest solution (this one) is the correct one in this case. EDIT: It is my belief that any other explanations are made to impose some order when people can't accept that something's random. |

I all ways go in order. Even if a rare comes up I kill the five above it first then take that one. I only do this because at the rate I kill them once I get started it slows me down to try and find which one I will kill next. I kill every NPC that comes up regardless of what it is or gives you. I have all ready filled all six spots up so I all ways can use the room. I don't think it gives you a better chance of getting a rare any way you do it. But I have found it does go faster that way. |

I don't think it makes a difference, I just didn't see the point in having more than one slot unless you use them to pick and choose. |

The only advantage that I can see is when all the tabs repop at once. |

No like I said. I filled all of my spots up so as I get one I alert it then move to spot number two. Then once I get a rare in that one I move down to number three and so forth. So having six just means I can go longer with out stopping. Also Like Razor says it does help with that as well. lol Also I guess if there is some NPC's that you just don't want to hit and want to wait them out you can do that as well without it slowing you down much. |

The Lazuli mission chain. You won't get that one till a really high rank. |

Well it depends on what level of the game your at, but mostly what ferrus said. Always go with the weakest first. They take less energy to kill, so your getting more kill bonuses to your exp, and your killing more mobs with less exp so your more apt to find uncommons, rares and bosses. Once your at the stage mojo is ( which you should be close to, if not at, at this point kaos) he's probably 4 shotting just about any standard mob that he comes accross so to him it realy doesn't matter. Eventually you might get a battle tab full of harder mobs then if that's the case take out the one that's the most recent and work off that slot alone. For instance, I can 4 shot most of the lower end mobs and sha'din ambushers. Some of the 140's and such take me 5 or 6, but those damned dark warpers can take me up to 10 hits to knock out. I know eventually I'll be 4 shotting them later on, but for right now, words cannot describe the hatred I have for those things. As I go through my battle tab I kill the easiest mobs, unless it's an uncommon or better in wich case I take them out first. As I get those dark warpers, I just let them eat up a slot. Once I get all 4 slots filled with them, if I have the energy left to justify it, i'll kill the most recent one. If not, i'll just log and let my energy refill while those phase out. |

I go for the weakest until I (eventually) get 4x Dark Warpers. I really don't understand the purpose of those beside the obvious nuisance. As I see it a game should be fun and not frustrating. And no silentknight, you won't 4 shot Dark Warpers. Their defense is irrelevant. The problem is they are rank 100 hence you are capped on how much damage you can do to them and they also have 1700 hp. So yeah. I should probably edit my post in the other thread and move them to first spot. Awful NPCs. Does anyone know at what rank they basically disappear, if ever ? |

Silentknight Kaos is a higher rank than me and has higher attack and defense so there for he can do what I said there. I knew he would be able to kill any NPC that he came up against with no problem at all so I decided to let him know what worked best for me. If you are of a smaller rank and can't just buzz through any NPC that pops up do not do what I said but instead do what Silent knight said. Also DMDMDMD, yes you will be able to take out the Dark Warpers in four shouts. If I a recalling right at the end of me seeing them I was four hitting them. Also I think you stop seeing them at around rank 250 but that is just a guess. |

silentknight wrote: /facepalm If I were you I would rather slap myself into comprehension instead of facepalming. Try and read again, not misquote yourself (I never thought something like that would be possible but hey!, it's a bright new day) then slap yourself again. What I meant, in plain English tongue, and if you read again you might catch it as well, if not ask someone to translate it , is that although you said that you will eventually 4 shoot them (Dark Warpers) I don't see that as a distinct possibility, no matter your rank or gear, for obvious reasons. So next time you feel like facepalming try and read->understand before basically making a fool of yourself. Post count doesn't count. |
