If I use these artifacts can i still increase a planet to greater than Very Massive/15X Mega Rich? As in, if I had a Desert planet that was Very Massive and 15X Mega Rich and I used a Crystallizer, would it become a Crystal with larger size and greater abundance, or would it become a Crystal with the same stats as the Desert planet, or would it not let me use the artifact? |

Yes it would become a Colossal 16X. Now if you would use an ice melter on one it would become a Mega Colossal. |

Use those mass surface melters wisely. They used to be available in artifact draws but are now only available in that mission. I would pay a LOT of money for one. |

I wish I could go back and reuse them on better worlds or hold on to them and use them once I get a world worth using them on.

Actually, upon finding out that you've only gotten 3 Quasi-Spacial Expanders from killing more than 20 times as many NPCs as I have, it seems like it would be prudent to just give up on that plan and use these artifacts when I get them, ho hum. |

After killing 18,000+ npcs, I've gotten 2 quasi-spacial expanders. I wish I started playing the game earlier so that I could have gotten some from the artifact draw.

New users have distinctive advantage on this one at least. Old users used Ice-melters like water, and had no or very few when they were discontinued. |

To any of the guys who have been around for quite a while (mojo / kaos), what would you recommend holding onto those for? As in, what would be the minimum requirements for a planet, in order to be worth a Mass Surface Melter / Crystallizer / Seed, in your opinion(s)? Thank you in advance. |

Very Large and 5x mega in at least one resource. With the holiday gifts allowing you to go up to 5x max, this will maximize what the bonuses you get from them. I would also suggest that high artifact producing worlds are good choices (even if not 5x) since there is no way to currently boost their stats (once Scruuge are gone). Another hidden trick to remember is that putting a perma-frost building on an icy and melting it will allow for it to keep it's icy bonus stats so make sure that is on your planet before you melt it! |

If you want the best use out of these artifacts I would only use them on very massive 15X mega rich worlds. This way you can get a colossal or even a mega Colossal (with the mass surface melter's) Other than that the min. would be a very massive still and at least a 5X. I would try to get the size up because that helps a LOT over time. I waisted most of those artifacts on worlds that gave me very little if any extra advantage in the game. Also in case you are wandering how to get up to the 15X you would need to get terraformmers. Now you may not be getting many of them now but once you get into the higher ranks 350+ you will start getting more and more. Then getting a world up there is not as hard as you would think. Now if you don't want to wait that long or whatever than go ahead and use them on your best world but I would still say go for the size more than anything else. Because then later you can make those worlds richer as well. I'm just giving you a hint on how to get the best use and how to break the 15X max on a world. Do MSM's break the 15x max on a world? Also make SURE it's vMassive. This turns it into a super collossal. I'd highly suggest waiting till you have most of your tech trees that have planet defenses in them maxed out. It doesn't do you any good to make an awsome planet only to get it scaned and stolen. These are one shot deals now. |

So, in turning a VMassive into a colassal, does the output have to be at a certain level, i.e 3x, mega rich. just want to know if there is a certain requirement, i too wasted all my MSM's a long time ago. |

You just want to make sure it already is at vMassive and 15x mega rich so that way it will bypass the minimums and become a super collossal (86 structure points I believe) and 17x mega rich. |
