Rank 236

Hello everyone, I really would like to see what you guys think about my ship and what I should do to improve it. I have stopped adding decks, and have now began adding Tactical Officers because I know theyre extremely low. Decks will only be added with bots. Engineers are of no importance to me at this stage, as I dont care about energy. The slower I rank, the better. I'm going to do a few missions to get some scan mods for the omniscient medal, do you recommend anything specific? I want to gain as little xp as I can until I finish continuum analysis when I can hopefully get some more and better artifact planets. I have my mission exotic and dyson, yes I know my AP needs to be higher. In fact, it needs to be double what it is right now so that I can stay ahead of the game. I'm working on getting my next velox thruster, and aegis capacitor of course.

what should I add to my to do list?
-Do the aeon moon chain
-put all rank points into TO's
-increase arti production
-finish continuum analysis and get omniscient medal
-get dom auto blasters by 250
-get all 3 velox thrusters by 250
-get all 3 aegis capacitors by 250
-increase attack to 4700 by 250
-get all 4 ion pulse ballistae asap
-get all 4 korteth twin blasters by 250
-get 1000 raids

energy with all relays uninstalled: 1675
Hull: 9000
Shields: 1300

Unbuffed attack is 4480

Image Going to finish all scanning for the omniscient medal, everything is 0/3 except shields, theyre 1/3

Uninstalled mods =
atmospheric decimator x2
drannik power core x4
XRP battery pack x4
Exo temporal translator x4
Stryll Prey tracker x2
Tetra seek targeter x3

Stop putting your rank points to your decks and start putting them on your crew for a better raid success. The higher the rank the less you would need your decks (ship-bots). Start early on your crew, it will help your ship in a long run.

Hehe i'd recommend staying outta top 10 if you dont want people 3-4x your rank pounding on you

As for your ship dont add E mods use engineers instead takes more time but means you can run with less decks and therefore have a stronger ship.

Same principle for hull and shield.

Yeah I was planning on going to 11. Lol, hmm never thought about that. That's a great idea. Any number you recommend for stopping on adding decks?

This ^

Also i see that you have 1 velox and 1 capacitor already installed and you are 14 levels away from 250.It will take you quite a while to get enough helmsmen/xcharges to get the other 2, so unless u dont plan on slowing down a bit with the ranking you wont be able to get them by 250.Other than this, more AP and more hacking at least until you get your last cypher and 4 quads +enough blues to upgrade them.

:)

Have a plan or numbers before ranking up. Das what I did back then (when my rank was 160 to 235)... I refuse to rank up if my numbers isn't on track

It depends on how much Arti/h you have and how dedicated you are to slow ranking, but the lower your decks the lower your damage cap doesn't matter if your stats are worse than others in your rank range if your damage cap is only a couple of hundred if you go for the SSB build lazuli fixer is a great option to go as well.

If you treat your T.O.s better maybe your desertion rate will lower. ;)

dont go so slow, or get more picky with your planets.
for slow rankers res is almost irrelevant.

Rank 284

Alright guys, so I thought I'd give an update on my ship. Been a little while since I last posted.

I'm currently ranking up when I need to open up a planet slot, or get something done, otherwise I'm just taking my sweet time enjoying the game. I'm working hard trying to achieve 50x my rank in arti prod, and I'm getting closer. Still have a few more arti planets lined up for me to grab which will give me an increase in prod by about 1200. I've stopped at 2299 decks, no more will be added. I'm staying put as a MSB, which in my opinion is the best way to go. All of my rank points are going into mostly TO's, with engineers here and there. I'm currently at 66/100 for my next velox thruster, and am awaiting to install heavy thetas as soon as I've the creds for it. I'm trying to NPC more, but PvP just keeps pulling me back. 8-) Also trying to up my raids and hacks. Well anyhow, any comments and suggestions are welcomed.

Max energy is about 2200

I had a VM 13x gas stolen from me recently so my research when down a bit, ah well. Currently researching supernova generation, and will shoot for the best relays afterwards to attain a 95 p/h recharge rate.

Ahh mid-ship build... 2299 was my lucky decks number, but I clicked a damned lazuli parts vault which forced me to move out of the mid-ship build. Overall, nice progress. One more thing I must say... MORE TACs!

You should edit the first post with the rank you were at then. Since you changed the title theres nothing on that post to indicate your rank.

I was impressed when you visited and I saw your build, and I'm even more impressed now! You definitely need more crew, that'll just come with time. Get the AP a little higher. For comparison, at your rank I had 5k attack, 8.5 defense, 1697 decks, 14k hull, 3k shields, 11k AP as Konqul Excavator.

Funny story, I was looking to emulate your amount of decks before when I was looking at your own timeline. I must say though, I'm loving this style of build. 8-) Tacs are coming with time don't worry!

I appreciate the compliment! Crew is the only thing I'm working on now, and like you said it'll come with time. ;) like I said I'm shooting for 50x my rank and I'm around 40x right now. Every planet I acquire must be able make over 200 AP to be worthy of stealing/colonizing. Nice comparison, think I may shoot for my kalvium platings sometime soon as well as perfect synco plating after I get best relays. Then I'll be even harder to kill.

Well, I've made a good amount of progress I feel since I last updated my ship stats.

Since I last updated I have:
- gained the ability to auto rank off of NPC's (Lots of clicky's, me no likey's)
- gained over 50x my rank in AP 8-)
- passed 2k TO's (about time  )
- Passed 1k engineers
- abandoned all of my useless research planets, and lesser AP planets
- Gained Anubix, AI Assault Drone

Goals I have to achieve by rank 375
- Achieve and maintain 57x my rank in AP (21375 AP)
- Upgrade Anubix to rank 100
- Research, and install, Trans-Entropy Drive Mk III's
- Research Universal Maintanence to use the UST (a lot of research, I know )
- Achieve and Maintain a ship strength of 60+
- Find those last two Drannik Ballistae. (damn them!)

I'm currently putting all of my energy into basing to rank my Anubix faster, along with regular NPC hits here and there to gain mods to scrap for CTP.
Feel free to comment and compare. :)

I can vouch for this. If your ship is ~half the size of another person, they can have 1.5-2x your stats and you can still win ~half the battles.

I plan on not adding any more decks, and staying as a MSB. It is the best, and overall most versatile, build IMO. Also, as you stated Rigor, you can still win about half the battles, to a majority even if you build your ship right.
