I'm rank 524 and currently I have an attack of 6472 unbuffed. My defense is 11072 unbuffed. While defense seems to rise quite healthily, attack seems to crawl forwards at a snail's pace. I don't even have all 8 defenses installed and it still outshines attack by almost 5000. Weapons Heavy Null Ray x8, Dominion Cannon - Mark III x4, Taltherian Sentry x4, T-Plasma Gemini Cannon x3, Hypercharged Bane Emitter x4, Korteth Twin-Blaster x4, Composite Ray - Type S x2, Atmospheric Decimator x2, Psionic Amplifier, Ion Pulse Ballistae x2, Lazuli Mind Controller x3, Exotic Pulser x3, Prototype Mech XV, Drone Cluster, Combat Analyzer 1340 Tactical Officers +2 Tactical Officers (attack) 985 Helmsmen +2 Helmsmen (defense) I could install Heavy Thetacrons, but the increase in attack doesn't seem worth the upkeep to me. I'm currently putting about 80% of my rank points into Tactical Officers - something I need to change as my energy is beginning to suffer, sitting at just under 4k with relays. |

The answer is fairly obvious add more tach... Heavy Thetacron Cannon x8, Radiant Surge Cannon - Mark IX x2, Dark Smuggler Chassis, T.O. Cyclobeam Charger x3, Dominion Auto-Blaster x4, Taltherian Sentry x4, Modulated Xecti Disruptor x4, Megacharged Bane Emitter x4, Zebeeren's Cannon x2, T-Plasma Gemini Cannon x3, Korteth Twin-Blaster x4, Leviathan Rift-Emitter x4, Composite Ray - Type D x4, Exotic Bio-Disruptor 2.0, Ion Pulse Ballistae x4, Atmospheric Decimator x2, Lazuli Mind Controller x3, Prototype Mech XV, Drone Cluster, Combat Analyzer That is what i have installed in the weps sections. |

I have 8 Heavy Thetas, 4 Dominion Blasters, 1 Ion Pulse Ballistae, and 4 Korteth Blasters, but more attack (not a Konqul). The answer to your question is simply to add more tactical officers. |

How I currently assign rank points is all 5 lvl rank pts go to engineers, this keeps me at a constant 10:1 energy to rank ratio. then all rescued prisoners are assigned to tact officers. from a while back in my logs. Rank 575 24710 Cargo 3381 Engineers only added 25 recently.. just cause. will work on these later as well. 4040 Tactical Officers gaining quickly on 5K 2063 Helmsmen not growing fast enough for my liking. 3921 Scientists keep an eye on this.. see exactly how much its growing by each week. maybe start dropping unnecessary gas planets... ATTACK 10.5K - 15% (buffed) DEFENCE 9100 |

currently 595 my standard attack is 11,700 and i can buff up to like 17.5k i believe non konqul ofc. Working on Heavy Thetas right now. Pretty much everything is going into tactical officers. Yes, I did the whole Taltherian chain in about a day and increased 50-80 ranks. |

Tactical Officer's is obviously the way to improve it, 1 also being as stated, getting Heavy Thetas... I'm rank 802 am a Talth and have 10,001 tactical officers with 18,352 unbuffed attack. I don't have the 3 gemini cannons yet, the 2nd Zebeeren cannon (which i'll have to wait til this christmas to get it), nightclaw fighter, heavy quasis, or the TO. cyclobeam chargers. |

My mining is just over 10k. I think I can keep up with them though I'm going to try and push it up to 12k over the next week or so. |

I can handle my near 7B Upkeep with just over 10K Mineral Units per hour. You should be fine, assuming you're not loaded on other Modules. Defense Modules add up.

I have an upkeep of 6.5B /day with Heavy Thetacrons. Just took a 15xMR Mining planet which has been on my scans for over a year. I'll probably need to do scanning runs soon. Nothing over Ultra Rich mining on my scans except for what I own. I'm working on the Irradiator mission so my VL 16xMR Toxics will be improving. |

With a 6.5B upkeep at your rank with 10k MP/h, you should be able to easily cover it. |
