Tips for a 2 man boss battle?

Post subject:  Tips for a 2 man boss battle?
One of my legion mates alerted a Renegar this morning. Unfortunately he and I are the only ones eligible. I'm 146 and he's 128. Anybody have some specific tactics we could use? Besides the typical buff and nerf artifacts, and energy-energy-energy?

Yeah, that's all I do, just make sure to maximize your use of the limited artifacts you have. I would use a Shockpulse Charger and then use Repair Nanodrones and Time Manipulators so you can use a whole lot of energy while it's active. I don't know how limited you are on those or how much hull and defense you have though so that may not apply.

No shock pulses... I'm pretty low on energy right now so i haven't used any arties yet. Will Dark Foci and Saboteurs work on it?

No, those won't work on bosses, which I'm pretty sure that is.

Yeah it is.

That's what I thought. I think one of my guys tried to use a saboteur on a Dark Ring once and it wouldn't let him. Thanks for the info.

Basically just save your energy up so you can use it all at once while consuming the least amount of debuff artifacts. Likewise, you guys could make sure you attack together at the same time so you both are getting the benefit of the same debuff. Otherwise you're in for a tough battle. Happy Hunting.

And don't forget to buff your ship at the same time (crystal, obelisk, grid).

Yeah, we've been tag-teaming it since he alerted it, but we're both low on energy and haven't buffed much since we can't take advantage right now. Still managed to knock down 10% total, so I'm pretty sure we can handle it. Was just looking for something that would make the job a little easier. Thanks guys, much appreciated.

Just a quick update: we have managed to knock down 36% in less than 24 hours, so I guess this isn't an insurmountable task after all.

Well we managed to finish that renegar in about 31 hours between the 2 of us. Now I have one even better... Hit 150 today, and guess what the 3rd NPC I found was... That's right boys and girls, a Stalar. Just for giggles, I hit the alert and discovered much to my dismay, that I am the only one that can fight it... 90k shields and 20k hull... looks like fun.. wish me luck, I'm gonna need it...

Ya Darth sorry the best way to take these down are just to buff up and use as many debuff's as you can on it. Then just keep hitting them. I have taken down many things with very few locks on them even in my own legion but we have a differnt problem. That being that many players don't want these NPC boss's anymore. Since we have all the models they drop. So we have a lot of Hives and stellers in our NPC battle tab all ways taking up room. lol Right now we have 8 NPC bosses that no one wants to hit out. :( Some times we don't even get 6 players on them before we have to kill them off. It gets to be a pain. Sorry I can't be of more help.

The only other thing I can think of is to join a differnt legion to share it. Then once it dies you can leave and go back to your own legion but thats all I can think of sorry.

thanks mojo, i wasn't really looking for any tips on this one. i know its a slim chance i can finish it in time. i was just sharing... figured you guys could all use a little chuckle. already got 9% knocked off though, so maybe, just maybe... :lol:

at least i have a use for my $20 christmas present to dan...
