I haven't tried it but can't imagine why it would as you'd still have the 4 hour wait for annex to work since last invasion...will try it next time I fail though.

depends on what timer it tied to Texas Toast...

if the condition on Annex Decree is invasion timer = less then 20 hours, it should work 1 sek after you have faild an invasion as 2 HyperShrouds basickly cuts 4 hours off your invasion timer an a failed invasion

but we wont know for sure until someone actualy test them

no .. the annex decree works immediately to CLEAR your invasion timer 4 hours after a previous invasion.

the shroud only decreases the total invasion timer .. for an unsuccessful invasion .. it becomes 20 hours instead of 24 if you have the pair.

as Texas stated .. you still have to wait for 4 hours after the invasion attempt to use the annex decree. .. so with 2 shrouds ... at the 4 hour mark after an unsuccessful invasion, you will still have 16 hours left on your invasion timer, and using the annex decree clears that down to 0.

so the shroud is just generally useful for avoiding invasion timer creep and allowing more invasions over a period of time. it is most useful for a failed invasion .. where you now only have to wait 20 hours for the next attempt instead of 24 .. but the annex decree is still a better bet for that if you have one available.

Legionmate just failed an invasion after self-alerting, so I tried it out. Got about 18 hours 20 minutes on my timer (so 3 hours 40 minutes since last invasion):

Quote:
Cannot use. You have performed an invasion too recently.

So, there's your answer.

thanks for testing it Texas Toast

so looks like Dan logs the invasion time.
but as I said, imposible to tell without testing, as it comes down to what conditions for use Dan Put on the annex decree artifact

the annex decree ability has been standard for quite some time:

http://galaxylegion.com/wiki/index.php/ ... ding_Space

"Removes any active timer for your invade ability. Cannot use if you have already attempted an invasion in the last 4 hours."

"in the last 4 hours" is the key restriction, so it is not based on invasion time remaining = 20 hours, even though those 2 conditions did co.incide until the shrouds were released.

I wonder why this is a question at all. If ya read the description of annex decree it becomes apparent

you dont get it....
as I already sayed, it depended on how Dan actualy programed the "if you have already attempted an invasion in the last 4 hours." condition

theire are atleast 2 posible ways to do it

1. if you have already attempted an invasion in the last 4 hours. = once your invasion timer reach 20 hours left
or
2. if you have already attempted an invasion in the last 4 hours. = actualy 4 hours from when you invaded a planet

it comes down to how he stores the data for when you invaded a planet, and how he programed the artifact

before we got the Bane HyperShroud theire wasnt realy any difrence betwen those 2 options, so imposible to tell witch one Dan used
after we got Bane HyperShroud, the only real way to do it is option 2 - otherwice you would have been able to use annex decree artifact right after failing an invasion

so it not about what the description of the artifact says - I can read that
it's all about how the artifact actualy works.

take The Tenebris Discovery (Late Timeline), Task 3: Return the Artifact to the Bralkir Shrine
mission text state, Use a Bralkir Probe on an enemy planet that you have scanned in the last five minutes.

after Dan increased the number of planets to 8.8 mil planets in the galaxy, the planets you use the Bralkir Probe on no longer needs to have been scanned in the last five minutes, but the LM task description never got changed to how things actualy works now....

so it wouldnt have been the first time, where an update have an effect on how something else work without that description beeing changed.

so only way to know for sure was to test it, Texas Toast, was nice enougth to do that
turned out that this time eire Dan was lucky and the way he programed annex decree didnt conflict with the invasion Time reduction from Bane HyperShroud or he actualy thought about it and made sure they would conflict
but looks like annex decree works the way it is suposed to, even if you have HyperShrouds on ship

Hence the reason I was curious, as I wasn't sure how Dan actually implemented it in the coding

Also @Texas Toast, thanks for testing it out!
