Does anyone know if the Bypass actually damages the modules? It would be nice to know what exactly it does to the other player.

bypass will uninstall attack or defense modules at random .. if that is the 10th uninstall .. yes, the modules will break.

Well, in THEORY and in the PAST this was true. But a little over a month ago, I got TIB spammed every day for a couple weeks and was surprised to find that I NEVER had to repair my modules. I checked the condition of a couple at random and came to the conclusion that TIBs don't damage uninstalled modules any more. Sorry kid, you'll have to content yourself with knowing your target had to click a few dozen times to bring modules back online but if that doesn't make you giggle you just wasted your blues.

Counter-Intelligence Nexus is what i buy and scrap for 5 to 10 ctp per one get up to about 100 to 300 each year so far already on route for another mass amount

TIBs NEVER damaged uninstalled modules .. they have zero effect on uninstalled modules. much more likely that you just never bothered to re.install the mods so the TIBs had no targets and were wasted that way.

When you put it like that, it really doesn't seem like it's losing a lot of CTP, anyway. Still, I will probably go with putting extra badges into Bainar and scrapping during Chuhn. Thanks for the tip.
