I want to get this straight. The only way to complete it is to use a Terraforming Device each round. A Terraforming Device costs about 5.00 worth of points. Ten rounds per completion makes 50.00 to get a completion, so finishing the mission cost about 200.00?

You don't have to pay money to complete this mission; terraforming devices can be dropped by killing certain rare NPC's - but these NPC's are very rare and their terraformer drops are even rarer. I've had maybe 2 terraformers in the last 4-5 months. The NPC is a matched enemy and is available at all ranks, so don't think if you haven't seen one, it's because you're too low rank. Seeing one is simply a matter of extreme luck - and you need to see 10 of them.

So completing this mission is a case of either being incredibly patient, or getting your wallet out. But I personally would say get your wallet out. The reward for completing the mission is well worth it, and the reward for the following mission is about three times better again. But it's even more time-consuming/expensive to complete that mission than it is to do the terraforming mission. So it's up to you to decide whether you can afford to spend money on a game.

Don't let them lie to you on this(you will have to pay real money if you really want to get it done). It costed me 20.00 real life to complete it. I had gotten 5 in the 1yr or so I have been playing. the next mission is the Dyson and that is going to cost me 50.00 do .. and I think I will be doing it.

And its a 1 time mission.

I am up to 93 terraformer drops and 21 quasi spacial. But I am a hardcore NPC hunter. They do drop, just very rare.

you do not have to spend money at all ... i have not done said mission since i use them on other planets i already have instead... but i have easily gotten 13 terrafomers if not many more...i lost count a while ago.. it just takes lots of NPC hunting that is where the goodies are at... terraformers, quasi expanders, planet fluxes ect... dont spend money unless you just have to or you cant wait to get that nice planet with 10k passive defense, attack, and cloak ... in my experience it is easier to find nice planets and make them amazing rather than to just pay for the planets off the bat.... but maybe thats just me

It seems to be something like 1/500 or 1/1000 chance for the TO Carrier. Grinding NPCs is really the only way to (eventually) get it without GP. A lot of people will buy the last few artifacts, just depends.

Where did you get the 200.00? It's a one time mission, so you only need the 10, and if you buy them all at once then you'll get a lot more points than you need, so you could start on the QSEs or something.

It took me just over 5000 npc kills to get my 10 terraformers. Yes, they can be had without GP.

Oh, and in that 5000 I also found 2 planet fluxes, but not a single quasi-spacial.

I wonder if the drops chance changed,, or just luck. 2300 npc = 3 terra and 2 QSE. couple of fluxes. I'm not sure how rank, mission npcs, or anything else affects those rates. So just seeing TO Carrier of either type, seems to be 1/500 or something like that. Although, I had two at once the other day, both terraformers.

I'm at 595 NPC kills and i have got a terra, 3 QSEs, 5 planet data optimizers, 5 toxic purifiers

I got 2 yesterday, within a few minutes of each other.

Of course I killed 200 npcs yesterday, but it was nice to see they're still out there.

Got a planet flux too, a good day.

maybe the spawn rate got higher after ppl complained where did all the TO Carrier go ? lol

LOL and my luck must just be terrible. Cause I haven't seen any of those yet and I'm level 169 approaching 300 NPC kills. I'm dropping elite bosses regularly but not the smaller rare fights. *Scratches head on that one* I would have thought the Elite bosses would be harder to see then the rare single player kill NPC's.

A few high ranked friends have told me to just be patient a bit longer they should start dropping for me so I'll see. Just not gonna bother holding my breath to see them.

I've gotten seven of them out of about 3000 NPC kills.

200 npc kills here, am i lucky or something?
