okay if you finished the terra project and got your exotic to 15x, what would you use your terraformers on

my next best planet...i know it makes it a bigger target, but more resources mean more potential for extra attack and/or defence

A Terra, Desert, or Barren (probably in that order) whose most abundant resource is artifacts. Then you can upgrade the planet to be 17x Mega Rich in Artifacts later, that's what I've been doing.

Largest planet you have give you the best return. Use them on your VM planets. I wish I had known that at the beginning.

I'd use a terraformer on one of my gaias, that way I can drop some of the extra resource structures and add defense to it so I can have more of a guarantee that I can keep it.

Right now I am working my way to one of the terraforming abilty races (talrathian?). I am using the rouge labpods on high research planets, and using the nomral terragormers on a natural exotic I ran off with.

I am saving my terraforming planet changing artifacts (well but mass surface melters and hydroshifters) for high end planets I made for there type.

Yes, that's the best plan. After that you can do it with Deserts and Barrens.

Use them on artifact planets- the bigger the planet better the return- spread them around on all your big artifact planets so that when some big dozy guy takes your planet you don't lose everything in one hit.

I made a Mega Colossal and have been dumping any terraformers on that. I evened up the arti's and research so that they'll both max at 15X at the same time.

My biggest is both.

Spread them out reasonably

I'd have them on my biggest sized planets that has the most structures while not sacrificing any defense

8000 npc ~ 25 terraformers ~ 1 v.massive 13x AP gas planet from a v.sparse -> plasma for extra space. 13x/13x/17x final. ~450 AP if dedicated artifacts. That is about 1/2 of a dyson's AP with every AP structure on it. Now if you only get a few, yeah spread them out on massive+ (ocean usually) natural AP worlds.
