OK, so I'm having trouble with battles and being disabled. Every time I uninstall the weapons on my ship, I am almost immediately disabled. I take the weapons offline for only a few seconds when I'm rearranging stuff to maximize energy for a rank-up refill or install more scanners so I can scan planets real quick. I can leave my ship sitting there all day while I'm at work and nothing will happen, but the second I take all weapons offline, I get hit.

I don't know what the deal is, but it's getting old.

Rank 23, but how are other players watching me all the time to wait for my weapons to go offline? I can only get to random players in the battle tab and if I click off them even once (to repair my ship for example), they are gone from the list for good.

they're not waiting specifically for you remove your weapons... they're just searching their BT for someone they're able to disable without taking too much dmg...

there's lots of people playing this game at this time of the night...

Dang, well I can't get my stats to go past balanced. Everyone else I see is deadly or menacing. Guess that's encouragement for me to spend REAL money on the game.... I can't afford it, so oh well. I'll be a small fry for awhile.

If you want to PvP, and I think from your previous posts that you do, you'll want to collect those red badges before you get much higher. Also get your research up to ion cannons at least, I remember seeing a few with phase cannons even as low as early 20's (must have been extreme slow levellers).

As far as dominion cannons are concerned, I can't say myself as I didn't take the early PvP route, but consensus seems to be to get 1 or 2 MkIs and then save like crazy for the MkIIIs. I won't presume to tell you any more because I think you've already had some good schooling from folks more experienced than myself.

Join a legion with good research shipments
dump a week's worth or more into HULL and WEAPON only
farm out ur Dom Is and save enough for Dom III(also save for Dom II if you wanna switch at rank 50)

That's the simplest way of doing things.

i'd avoid dom mark 2's the mark ones are 200 red badges scrapping all of them will mean getting another 280 red badges for the mark 2's

and then ofc you'll want the mark 3's which is another 512 badges

Dont know about you but i would kill for that extra 280 red badges right now for scanning bases.

I'm rank 50 now and have 3 Dom Mark II

If you start now, you can probably skip mark I and get Mark II and Mark III....you need to have extremely overpowered weapons otherwise you'd die

Since i PvP often (394 Player Kills, 28 Player Deaths, 2511 Battles) I guess I can tell you something.

PvP people like me NEVER go for you if you have a combination of high hull and defenses (though defenses need to be REALLY high b/c Dominion Cannons boost and etc. are reeally high). We almost never look at weaponary because we value energy more than credits which we have a lot of...

For example, at rank 23 I think i had Inertial Cancler Mark III (x1) with Aerlen boost that gives me 220 defense...but my weaponary was 4 Dom mark I and 1 Crimson Auto and a Heavy Phase Cannon. I think i had 300 attack with that. As you can see, even with Aerlen boost getting defense was pretty hard. I had 2x top tier Durtanium Plating and even then, sometimes got disabled.

At Rank 50, with 3x Dom Mrk II 1 L. Disruptor Cannon 1x Dom Mrk I 1x Crimson Autolaser I have 470 attack. With two microwarp Nceeles I have 559 with Aerlen buff. I have a Nanosphere and Protean ARmoury for a total of 470 att, 559 defense, 728 hull with Fixer. But you don't have to be strong at 23, just last long enough to waste their energy.


AT your level, I would recommend (if you want energy) Durtanium Plating, Spacial Thrusters. It will be easy if you have good legion

Don't buy Mk2s. Skip to Mk 3.

Don't ever get Mark II unless you are ABSOLUTELY SURE that you can bdge enough

I could have gotten Mark 2s, but that's been over 90 ranks of solid PvP. Ahh... what fun...
