 RSL Anticryptex didn't do anything.

Started Decrypting the vault mission. Used 3 RSL anticryptex artifacts, and they did not increment the number of steps completed.

Contact the developers. They will be able to fix it for you. Just follow the instructions in that link.

That's right. I keep forgetting that the Issues and Support forum does not actually provide support for any issues. Sorry, I'll just let it go.

Make sure to start the mission before using the artifact.

Excuse me reeves? Was that an insult after I told you exactly how to get the help you need? You were affected by a glitch and the admin can fix that. What's your problem?

And besides, since Dan has now posted you probably have your answer.

dont feel bad for being ignorant reeves. i did the same thing as you. i used 2 cryptexes before starting the mission and they had no effect. make sure you have one round of completion on EVERY step to the mission. if the counter is at zero there will be no effect, as i tested it just to make sure because of my surplus of cryptexes. you will get those artifacts back and more than are useful to you for the mission, my suggestion is just forget about it and carry on.

No, I'm not insulting anyone. In fact, I'm the fool for posting support issues in the forum here, titled "Issues and Support". I wouldn't think of bothering to contact the developers unless it was an issue related to something I paid for. Like I said, I'll just let it go.

Yeah, you have to contact them directly if you need them to fix something that's specific to your account. I think it might be so that they know which account to look at; I'm not sure they can always tell just from a forum post, and it needs to be official.

Dan can't tell what your GL account is by just forum posts. Really the best time to post in Issues and Support is if there is a problem that most likely effects multiple players.

Exactly. Losing one anticryptex is really no big deal. Just out a few scrap credits. Trust me, with the energy requirement involved in the mission (especially after the 3rd or 4th cycle) you will end up scrapping way more anti's than you will actually use. Mathematically, I don't think it is possible to complete this mission before the first drannik mission is unlocked and therefore you will have 2 mission NPCs clogging your tab. My advice is not worry about it, complete the gaia seed mission first, then nickel and dime away at the Vault.

Also, don't manually finish more than 10 missions before using the cryptex at any point. Each series seems to have a max completions you can use them up to and doesn't care how you got there. I wasted a couple thousand energy that way on my 7th pass I think.

The amount reduces by completion, Missed. First completion allows you to use 9, second completion allows you to use 8, and so on. The final completion doesn't let you use Anti-Cryptex at all.

Yeah I know. I'm saying that I finished a completion then did like 22 missions right away. When I went to use the cryptex I'm pretty sure I was able to use 2 less than I should have been able to. I wasn't paying enough attention to be sure about it though.

I am about half way through my set of missions, and total I have had 4 that did not work.
