My alliance helps me take Planet X. Once I successfully invade, somehow the previous owner manages to defend the planet from his legion.

I am not complaining as it helped me, but... this is something that may need to be looked at.

Guess I'm not sure what you mean by this. Can you elaborate please?

Seems he is trying to say that the previous owner was guarding the planet at the time of invasion and had not moved off when he alerted for his legion. Unless you move off, get warped or get disabled you would still be guarding a planet.

Talk about a face-palm moment for him...

Yeah, that happened to me once, if everything happens too quickly odd things like this can happen. It also said two different people in the same Legion invaded the planet at the same time, so just a timing/lag issue.

Thing is, he was not defending the planet when I invaded... probably why I actually succeeded. Somehow, after I took it though, he was able to defend it.

Definitely a bug.

He was able to guard a planet that was not even a part of his legion.

Its hard to get an accurate picture to others over the internet.

I got the idea. He may have Guarded as you were doing the invasion (or within a couple seconds before) and due to the ever-present lag, didn't show up on your screen until after you conquered. Strange things always seem to happen during those missing seconds...

i know you can't keep a tab open with a planet in it if it is fluxed. It just says it is out of range as soon as you take an action, but if you did something like that for one that was to be taken, I think you can take 1 or more friendly actions on it. That, or it is a split second latency issue. If it is the first thing, there might be some serious exploitive issues.

I would hope that it is not exploitable. Really really really really really hope it isnt.

Yeah, it wasn't when you invaded it, and was within a very short time frame while you were invading, that's what happened with me; you all click it at the same time, so things that shouldn't happen at once do.
