I know this has been brought up before, just showing to show it still hasn't been fixed.
This is the same NPC, me and a legionmate killed it at the exact same time, and everyone got 2 rewards.

At the same time consider yourself lucky. However, you can see in the background a continuous background which matches both, so this is an actual occurrence. Hopefully this does get fixed |
